Medal Sports  8ft Brenham Billiard Table w/ BONUS Table Tennis Top

Assembly instructions are pretty good, but it is important to mention that a power tool is almost mandatory. 102 screws/bolts to put together the base is way too much to do by hand. There is no mention either of the importance of putting things together loosely (like each leg, for instance) and only tighten them up once you make sure the assembly lines up squarely. There are 3 blocks of wood screwed to the underside of the table proper which are there for packaging purposes only, and 2 of them need to be removed for the table to sit well on its base. Do all of that and you are off to have a lot of fun playing pool with family and friends. But if you want to play table tennis, go find some other "conversion top". This top does not come in 2 pieces but 3!!! Evidently, you end up with a crack in each paying field, about 8 inches from the net. Totally ruins it.

Received this billiard table as a man-cave Christmas present from my wife. The two delivery guys had their hands full with the 300+ pound box. Assembly was not bad at all. Very straightforward. Took me about 2-3 hours total, with my wife helping me lift the table top onto the bottom half/legs. I was impressed with the quality of everything. The drop pocket style adds a lot of class to the table. The table tennis top is well-made and easy to use. Although it doesn't say so in the description, this billiards table comes with two cue sticks, good quality billiard balls, wood ball rack, chalk, table tennis paddles, balls, net, etc. Myself and my buddies are VERY impressed with everything, including the non-slate table top. It may not be slate, but you would never know it. And the regulation size (8 ft. by 4 ft.) is great, too.

Both my sons plus friends love to play. Now no quarters. No bad elements in the bars. Just perfect!

I don't usually write reviews, but this item deserved one. Very pleased with the whole transaction. Sears did not have the table I wanted in stock, so the gave me this one at the same price...paid $350! They even waived shipping because it took a while to get the trasaction done at the store(sales associates do not know how to do much beyond scanning bar codes and taking credit cards). Table arrived at my house 3 days later. It is a BIG HEAVY box that the moving men brought to my lower level rec room...not an easy task! It took about 4 hours to put it together(I suggest you have a screw gun and that you glue just about everything) and you will need a minimum of one strong helper to get it done. Table was easy to level. It plays well and looks great. It is not a high end table, but for a casual player it is a good value.

This table is a great addition to any game room. It is heavy-duty table for the price and you will love it if you are looking for a competitive size table on a budget. Though advertised as a composite wood table the material is solid and feels like slate. My only concerns w/ the table is all of seams are not flush though it's not noticeable when finished. Also, the felt doesn't feel like more expensive counterparts--it looks fine and works the same but run your hand over it and you'll know (minor issue). Finally Sears HORRIBLE job on listing the item: No accessories are listed and call Sears they will tell you there aren't any but it does come w everything shown. The box size is not listed. It is about 9ft x 5ft x 8in. Call Sears and they will tell you wrong. Finally, it weighs more than 300 lbs-- the guy @ the store said it was the heaviest table sold so you MUST plan accordingly if you plan to pick up.
