Great and relatively inexpensive. May 29, 2010
I'm an 18 year old college student who was looking to gain a little muscle. I have found this to be a great way to add muscle to your body. Since I've gotten this I've improved my bench press from 135lbs to 205lbs. The only thing that I see as a downfall is the amount of weight you actually get with this. For me, I'm limited to how much I can actually push myself since the max weight (for chest press) is 195lbs. I'm moving away to go to a different college and I'm going to get a membership at a local gym. This is definitely a good system to use.

Looks impressive, poor design & long assembly November 05, 2010
After trying to purchase a gym from Sears for 2 months, I had to settle for this unit, as my other choices were always out of stock. Assembly- instructions are terrible, a video would be much better. some assembly is out of order, like putting up the shroud during weight assembly, bad idea, save it for later or you will be holding it up while trying to hold up weight bars and putting on weight at same time, too many hands needed!! not all parts are labeled and part orientation in drawings is very poor. as well as their cardboard part sets like for frame assembly, or pulley assembly, parts are mixed between the two & other parts are in bags so happy hunting! I am a 5'6 woman and assembly took 8 hours and I am very mechanically inclined. As for use- bench press is in the way of lat bar use from a seated position, you will hit the arms, ouch! Butterfly press is designed for a mans arm span, or small gorilla, ha. Better jack up the seat as well to reach them.
Weider should spent a few more pennies toward some basic assembly, as the ratio of saving customers $$ to aggervation is way off. Also invest in a quick assembly video. How about a exercise chart for the units they are designed for instead of a bulk instruction to cover all your gym equipment, that would up the quality rating in my book. Women a word of advise, try to tryout gym equipment in store, if in stock, to ensure you can use what you are paying for, trust me after the work out of assembly, you'll be way too tired and aggervated to return it!! Don't go for every bell & whistle either, just the basics will do you well. This unit is poorly designed and cramped to use, the space saving idea is only good if you can still comfortably use the equipment! Wish the unit I wanted was in stock, don't settle for this unit.

assembly instructions very poor,designed poorly,hours of assembly,Pile of junkPile of junk. I only reach step 5 and realize the shrouds that were sent were the wrong shrouds. Even the official Sears installer could not put it together. They gave up also.
