    For what you pay, you can't beat it! June 15, 2010

    Isn't a slate top table by any means but does well for what it is. Ping pong top is super nice and is easy install. Box was slightly damaged when I picked it up but there was no damage to table when I oput it together. Overall pleased with the purchase

    Our church had purchased two of these billiard tables for our active Youth group. The price seemed right and the table, judging from the store display, appeared as if we were really getting quality. Unfortunately, the table did not perform. The materials used were of a cheap, particle-type board and the screws couldn't even secure the table. Once assembled, the table was wobbly and dysfunctional. After several "adjustments," the table just wasn't sturdy enough. The balls rolled around and even thinking of leaning on the table could have been disasterous. As the purchasing manager of our church, I called Sears to inquire about a return. At first the gentleman asked if I had adjusted the footing levels. I assured him that every avenue had been taken; the table was just poorly made. He finally set up a return delivery and they picked the table up the following week.

    I have played in billiard leagues and know the quality of a good table. Slate, not wood, is what makes a great table. Slate in 3 pieces is even better and wood just has the obvious result of eventually warping, cracking, etc.. Still, for $800, I didn't expect the table to be anything more than wood, I just didn't expect the flimsy pressboard stuff...not for the price.

    We're saving our pennies and will venture out to purchase a 9' slate from a billiard supply. Sears is really great for a lot of things: their Craftsmen line, wonderful appliances, good clothes,but their pool tables isn't one of them.

    looks great

    This pool table is great for kids to learn on.  The price was great. You do need help moving the table  and putting it together wasn't hard at all.

    I would recommend it to everyone.

    wooden pieces are weak

    Delivery was fast for this product. The table top is on piece construction.The wood pieces around the top are very weak. Do not attempt to squeeze in a tight stairwell(ie bsmt) it will jam and damage the table. It is sturdy once put together, but the pieces alone are weak.

    Purchased this pool table a couple of days ago. Shipping from sears was extrememly fast and pleasant. However; the deleivery guys could hardly handle the table. This table is EXTREMEMLY heavy. Parts starting coming out of the box, getting scratched, etc. Once they took the unit out of the box, I noticed that the parts were really cheap. I started to assemble the unit (and looking at the other feedback), I now know what the guy was talking about. The legs on this table were numbered wrong and the pre-drilled holes are off. This causes the assembly of the legs to not be "flush" with the floor, hence; a wobbly table. I am having the SAME issue. I will be looking into a return for this table. It's not worth the headache. Sears has it on sale for $400 ($500 with delivery), but the "sportcarft" folks don't even have the table listed on their website. I don't even think they make them anymore and the retailer are lowering prices jut to get rid of these ****** table. Don't buy.... I warn you.
