ProForm 10.8 is very quiet and comfortable to ride. February 09, 2011
This bike came in a surprisingly small box and everything was carefully wrapped and there were no damaged or missing parts. The quality of the 10.8 is outstanding for the money. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the $500 bikes do, but so what. You don't need all that stuff. I have back trouble and the seat is plenty comfortable and I like the display. It has a built in fan too. I would definitely purchase again. No regrets.

Pro Form 10.8x is a nice, basic bike November 24, 2010
I've had the bike for only about a month but I am happy with it so far. I wanted a small, sturdy bike and don't really care about the heart rate monitor or programs so this one works well for me. I haven't had any issues with the seat moving ( because I am petite, maybe) or the batteries ( I don't use the programs or monitor). I plan on putting many miles on it!

However, 3 features do not work properly: the heart rate monitor, and therefore the 2 heart workouts that rely on the heart monitor.
Another star-remover is that the seat moves back while exercising. My husband fixed that by drilling a place in the bottom of the rear frame just deep enough to keep the adjustment knob in place.
The smart workouts perform like a dream, and the dissappointment of a non-functional heart monitor can be easily overlooked by taking one's own pulse to monitor the heart rate.
If the non-working features had not been included with the bike, I would still have purchased it at this low price. I can make my exercise program as easy or as demanding as I want with the remaining features.

I did it BY MYSELF in less than an hour, and NO I'm not an engineer or a mechanic I work in an O.R. The heart rate monitor is spot on. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because I think the knob that's supposed to keep the pedal distance secure is not secure at all. I modified the base by drilling holes and using a 1/2" Reese hitch pin through the knob hole to secure the seat and pedals. I just bought an inexpensive variable voltage power supply with multiple tips instead of batteries.
Overall, the programs and ease of use very much outway the lack of engineering on the seat security.

Not only was the seat comfortable but there is a fan on the bike that keeps me cool, and I can just get in the zone so easily. I feel if I have to exercise, (and I do) It has got to be as easy and fun as possible. I put my ear phones on and before I knew it, I had already past my goal for the night. Yep if you are looking for comfort and fun with results, this ProForm Exercise Bike is a No Brainer! :O)
