    Good Compliment to the Upright Cycle December 27, 2011

    I've been working out on this cycle for a few days now.  It's a great compliment to the ProForm XP 210 Upright Bike. Because it works the back of my legs and glutes. I read several articles about it being easier on your back (turns out it's true). So when you want to read a magazine on your E-Reader and exercise at the same time, it's the perfect cycle for you. I had researched other cycles that cost $150 to $200 more. But once I sat on them just realized I wasn't getting more bike for that additional money. Get this bike and use that extra money to pay for a 3 year warranty. Come-on yall let's get in shape in 2012!

    Pro-Form XP 440 R Console does not work March 30, 2012

    I bought this bike in January and was so excited. It is very comfortable and I really liked the different options. Then in March the display lights up but it is blank. Can't change the tension or anything. I am soooo disappointed. Not much good without being able to change the tension.

    My boyfriend and I got this bike at Sears... and upon putting it together, it mystically shut off and on. Also, the salesman did not know how to get a power cord for it. We exhanged it, that one was broken WORSE,.. wheel wouldnt turn..and had to get a third bike. This one still turns on unexplicably, but we have a power cord, so we just unplug it. Works okey, seems not the best quality, but its used VERY frequently.

    I purchased this bike in January of 2012. Easy for me to assemble, and liked it at first. After a month the pedal movement got clunky and loose. I adjusted it twice in 30 days. The console went out at 90 days. I havd a service call made and told that a new one would be shipped in 7-10 days. I found out today the console is on back order until June 22nd!. I am in process of a warranty exchange to upgrade to a better model. Read the reviews, almost every one has problems with the console. Not worth the money.

    Well look areaound and found a what I thought was a good bike. Lasted about 2 months and console is no good now. Bike is no good without console. Seems this model has this problem often. Buy another brand is my advice.

    The XP440 is a great recumbent cycle for the price. The frame is very sturdy and does not wobble or shake during usage. It is very easy to adjust the seat back or forth. The mechanism provides constant resistance during exercise. The resistance is easily to set using a "+" or "-" button on the console. The hear rate monitor feature works if you just REST your hand on the handle bar; gripping will produce irratic results. My only complaint is the the electronics turn on randomly. After the timeout period of about 5 min, they turn off. However, when they turn on in the middle of the night, the backlight lights up the room and the speakers make a static crackle noise. It would be good if Sears provided an exchange of just the electronics. Instead, one has to take the entire machine back to the store. Just try to put the assembled cycle in the back of your car!
