    Nice product December 31, 2008

I bought this elliptical after trying out the ones on the Sears store floor. It definitely is sturdy and gives a great workout. It takes up less room in our small workout room. My husband even likes working out on this Horizon elliptical. Nice low steps for him since he just had double hip surgery last February. I love the fan and the movable handlebars to work my arms. Only drawback, the resistance is quite strong. It took some time to build my strength using level 1 (my husband had no problem). Nice product, great price!

MAKES TOO MUCH NOISE AND POOR QUALITY June 18, 2010

My husband purchased this elliptical for my birthday 3yrs ago.  The first year and a half I really didn't get to use it due to traveling alot.  Lately, I have been able to work out on it more but noticed how noisey it is.  Then, the handles were coming loose.  I called Sears to get it serviced and they told me I didn't have a warranty.  I know my husband bought one because it was on the receipt...we went through a year of battling with them until finally "They" were able to find it in their system.  First service appointment, the repairman came and pretty much said it's mostly plastic and a piece of **** but, he managed to tighten what he could and order new washers for it.  He came back two weeks later to replace the washers.  Starting working out again and thats when I noticed when the elliptical is at a low resistance, its fine...but I like it at the max (10) and thats when the trouble starts.  Sooo..had to make another appointment because the right handle was coming apart from the machine.  Repairman just left and once again said it was not much he could do because of the quality of the machine and the parts that were already together when taken out the box were put together poorly..which is the company's fault.  Next time we are looking for workout equipment for the house, it will NOT be a Horizon brand.

    Poor quality,Machine failure

Bought this unit 2 years ago and right after the warranty expired parts started breaking.  I am 6' 3" and 230 lbs and this unit is rated for 275 so it should handle it.  Since Janauary I have had to replace both lower link bars and the right pedal arm.  The failures have been either bad welds or the bars bend.  I have ordered my last part and if it fails again it's going to the dump.

Very Nice for the price January 08, 2009

I bought this last night at the sears store in Chesterfield, MO. They had it on clearance for $599 but I had a printout from internet for $299 so they gave me the internet price. It was not available anywhere around where I live according to sears.com I just happened to go to Sears. It has everything that we needed. All basic functions and the rating on this were a lot better than Norditrack. Anyway, we got the floor model because if was the last piece and it was already assembled. It was missing 2 screws that I believe whoever put it together never put them but I'll get those from the hardware store for $1 but you can't beat $299 for this elliptical. It works nice so far.
