This Is The Replacement Drive Motor For The Proform 5.2 Treadmill.
For Model Number: PATL413070

The motor is the heart of your treadmill. When you need your treadmill up and running you need a quality motor that will last and last and last and last! When you buy your treadmill motor from Treadmill Doctor you can rest easy in the knowledge that you are being supplied by the final authority in treadmills. We make sure that your treadmill is taken care of and you are taken care of as well! Just remember that the number one cause of a treadmill motor failure is high walking belt friction created by a lack of lubricant and a worn surface on the walking belt. If you replace the motor, make sure that you check the walking belt. Otherwise you may be replacing the treadmill motor again!

Great purchase!

I am used to working out in gyms with professional quality elliptical machines and had been wanting to purchase a good quality machine for my home. I had been eying this machine for a few weeks and saw that it was on sale on New Year's day, so we went for it. It took my husband and I about 2 hours to put it together, the directions were straight forward and it was overall pretty easy to do.

So far, I have used the machine twice and I am very happy with the quality of it. It doesn't creak or feel cheap at all. We have the machine in a small spare bedroom, I like that its not overly big and yet you still feel like you get a really good workout. The pre-set workouts kicked my butt. The resistance levels are pretty tense.

Overall, I am very happy with all aspects of the machine. Its good quality, I get a good workout and for the money I think its a great home machine. Would definitely recommend to buy.

Also, I recommend that you get the AC power adapter to power the display, fan and ipod.

Just finished putting together...no power adapter?!?

What?!?  My family and I just put this thing together and it doesn't come with a power adapter...

The specifications don't say the monitor (you know the mini-computer) runs on batteries. Batteries?!? C'mon Sears.com, when were you going to tell us that you are too cheap to include an AC adapter or even mention that this requires an additional purchase?

I wonder if buying the Extended Warranty requires paying an additional cost of printing the agreement out.

Oh well.  I'll keep posting as we begin using, right after my Part #14730 (AC Power Adapter, oh yes...the part isn't even from the same company) arrives to my house.

Amazed, but not surprised by Sears.com's shortcomings.

Nice workout machine for the money

There are more expensive machines out there but why waste your money. I have this machine for over a year and use itjust about everyday for a good workout with minimal impact to my joints. Vet well made and fun to use.

Not worth the money

My husband bought this as a Christmas gift for me since I wanted it and it was a good price. Although, it's not worth what he paid for it. It squeeks only after several uses and he could never get the resistance cord to hook up.

This ProForm Elliptical works very well

I bought this elliptical for my at home gym. I would say that it at least meets my expectations. The only bad part about it, is that it does not come with a power cord. From the box it is battery operated. Once you can get the heavy box moved around, it is very easy to put this thing together.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great product, convenient to have and to keep in shape.

I purchased this product and keep it in my family room, easy and quiet to use in the comfort of my home.  It motivates me to work out in an environment that will allow me to watch movies and work out at the same time.  The various workout sessions allow you to maintain or drop pounds with the weight loss features.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

The ProForm 390 E Elliptical is compact and easy to use.

If you need some ammenities but not all of the bells and whistles this is the elliptical for you. I am actually able to fit it into a corner of my living room. It's a little over 5 ft. in length and about 3 ft. in width. I can handle that width while getting rid of my personal width. If you live in an apartment or small home like we do, there's no need to look any further. Plus with Sears delivering the machine and setting it up it's truly no hassle. They will even come out and tune it up when needed. What more could you want. I only gave it four stars because we haven't used it for that long. Although at this rate, if it holds up like this in the long run, it deserves five stars. You do get your worth out of it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Pro Form 390 Elliptical trainer

My wife and I were looking for an inexpensive elliptical trainer for the winter season.  We decided on the proform 390.  It is relatively small and easy to move. The preset workouts are decent.  The unit is easy to operate but setup took a bit of time.  Overall we are happy with the elliptical trainer but it does seem to squeek alot and is a bit flimsy feeling.

I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great when it works

The assembly was pretty straight-forward. It went fine until Step #11. I couldn't get the bolt to go all the way through the pedal leg to connect it to the upper arm part. Either the holes weren't in alignment or the piece was twisted slightly. I literally had to use a sledgehammer to get the bolt through the holes. Really enjoyed the elliptical the first few weeks of use. Great workout. Easy to jump on it every morning. The IPOD doc is great. It's really quiet too. However, after about a month, the right pedal became somewhat loose. It would make a rough click each time the pedal made the rotation. Being a proud do-it-yourself-er, I attempted to fix it myself. I removed the wheel cover and discovered that one of the bolts had come loose (part # 68). I couldn't re-tighten the bolt due to the fact that the end of the bolt had broken off in the nut. I order a replacement bolt and installed it. Now the issue is that this bolt and the one next to it (part # 67) won't stay tight. I can exercise for about 3 minutes before #67 is loose again. I should have called the Sears in home repair right away. Now the 90-day in home repair has passed. Overall, if you purchase the product, anticipate that you will have issues with it - and hope any problems make themselves known within 90 days.

Overall
Good motion, but creaks loudly - very annoying.

I chose this machine because the specific elliptical motion that it creates is most suited to my comfort preference without launching me ballistically forward, thereby putting undue stress on the joints, like so many similar machines do as one steps ahead.  I agree with other reviewers about the noise this machine makes: creaking and squeaking early on after use, which is very bothersome, as I like to watch TV while aerobicizing.  Perhaps this is a function of my weight (210 lbs; 6?1? tall), although the published upper weight limit is in excess of 210 lbs.  The monitor is angled too acutely downward and at a low height, making it impossible for a person my height to see it easily without bending low.  I get a satisfying and good workout from the device, however.  The speakers for sound input are pretty worthless in an era of music players; I should have much preferred having the power cord included, which it is not ? a deplorable omission which really makes one wonder about the manufacturers!  My main complaint is the creaking noise that reminds me of the Titanic crawling over the North Sea ice at its demise!  Without the noise, I should have rated the machine a 4/5; with the power cord, a 5/5.

ProForm 390 E Elliptical Trainer is a Good machine

Bought this to get some inside exercise since it is around 95 degrees and too hot to walk outdoors.  I had read some not so great reviews so I purchased the 2 year extended warranty since it was on sale for $329 plus $20 for the electrical converter.  So far so good.

One nice thing was the store set it up for free with one extra day to assemble so the $20 converter was worth it.

I would recommend this product to a friend.
