NordicTrack  E5.7 Elliptical

Have had this elliptical for 2 months. Had Sears service provider assemble the machine within 2 hours. Machine runs quiet and smooth. Workout kicks my ****! Has shelf for electronic devise that is hooked into MP3 outlet (you provide cord). Speakers are blocked by electronic devise when on shelf, sound is muffled but you can still hear. 5 stride adjustment levels with manual adjustment. Just click and lift, easy to do. Large pedals. Easy to step on. Has wheels on front and handle on back for moving, but machine is heavy and takes some muscle and 2 to lift and move. Power cord is at front of machine and if plugging in to wall behind the machine, cord runs length of machine, need extension cord. No fan, lots of work out programs built in. Pay a little more and have Sears assemble. Machine is just right for me.

I have had to realistically take various greased joints apart weekly at a minimum and re-grease them to keep this machine running smoothly. I would assume that the machine would work smoothly for the sum that it costs, but in my opinion it doesn?t. The articulated joints do not have grease packed bearings which I think would have greatly increased performance. At the time of this review, I have had the machine for approximately a month and half and have had to take apart almost all the assembled joints and re-greased them at least 3 times each. At this point I am getting about an hour of exercised before it starts to creaking, squeaking and knocking. I wish I had my money back!

Easy to install. Friendly user. Sturdy.

I bought this product and was very excited to use it. I picked it up at store and put it together without a problem. Once finished I tried using it and noticed a loud nasty Metal on Metal Scraping sound. So I call Nordic Track and the support person says she thinks she knows what the problem is. They confirm they will mail a new part within 7 to 10 days and then a technician would be out to repair it. After 30 days, the part didn't come so we called sears and explained our dilemma. They agreed to pickup the broken elliptical and deliver me a new one and put together free of charge. So at this point i'm kind of unhappy but gave kudos to Sears for trying to right this problem. Well the new elliptical arrives and is setup by the delivery team and this machine has the exact same problem (the problem was with a pre-assembled portion of the machine, i.e., the Eddy Mechanism). So now i'm pretty upset that 2 of these machines don't work. Returned both and got a refund. Buy something else!

We prefer Nordictrack and have enjoyed our treadmill But wanted a different workout and love our new Elliptical.

Wanted to get a treadmill so we went to sears to look instore and try out but ended up tryng this and loved it. So we got it and I must say it is worth every penny to have them deliver it and put together!!! So far I have used everyday since it arrived and am doing better each day. It does take a little getting used to if you are a first timer on an elliptical. I didn't get the extra Ifit thing and so far don't really miss it there are so many options to do I don't think Ifit is nessary. (But I do have it infront of T.V) If you are on the fence trust me and buy you won't regret. Also my husband is using it and likes it as well and he hates anything related to working out!! (makes fun of my videos)

It is just what I was looking and it has exceeded my expectations

I had bought the E7 sv very simular to this several years ago, less than 1 year console broke still in warranty. Into second year the right crank arm broke $100, Belt broke $60 and discovered that since manufacture pulley and fly wheel do not line up properly causing belts to slowly shred. Now less than 3 years later left crank arm brakes . Turns out the single crank arms were no longer available (wonder why?). Now have to be replaced in pairs ( $375). I should have known better after first buying a Nordictrack treadmill and after numerous problems took it back to Sears They sent a repair man out and he said it was so screwed up it would need to be replaced. Bottom line, poor Quality Control. This **** must be made in China. But hey, if you don't use it it will never give you problems. Mine is now in the garbage. Believe every bad review you read is my recommendation.
