Product Description

This Is The Replacement Drive Motor For The Proform 525 EX Treadmill.
For Model Number: PFTL52580

The motor is the heart of your treadmill. When you need your treadmill up and running you need a quality motor that will last and last and last and last! When you buy your treadmill motor from Treadmill Doctor you can rest easy in the knowledge that you are being supplied by the final authority in treadmills. We make sure that your treadmill is taken care of and you are taken care of as well! Just remember that the number one cause of a treadmill motor failure is high walking belt friction created by a lack of lubricant and a worn surface on the walking belt. If you replace the motor, make sure that you check the walking belt. Otherwise you may be replacing the treadmill motor again!

Adequate for my needs
I purchased this elliptical about 6 months ago. I had the machine set up by Sears. I had not used an elliptical before so this was an experiment. The machine has functioned well. I've had no issue with the mechanics. However, the batteries drain quickly. The display is supposed to turn off on its own but it doesn't. There is no off switch. Anyone know how to turn it off besides pulling the batteries? Next time I'd buy a machine that plugs into an electrical wall socket.

** You get what you pay for **
With the ProForm 395E, spend cheap and you get cheap. Yes, it is built to meet a price point but the critical wear areas are poorly engineered. Our 395E has disintegrated flywheel bearings after 6 months. Sears response, buy a new flywheel to the tune of $500. ProForm's response, buy a new flywheel at a 20% discount. Both options exceed the purchase cost of the elliptical. Interesting, the parts diagram list the bearing, but the part is not available. Poorly engineered, they choose to use 3 small ball-based bearings which cannot handle the load put upon them. The ball bearings are smaller than BBs. Two, larger roller-based bearings would have lasted a lifetime. If you choose to buy, make sure you get the extended coverage.

broken product

The elliptical is great but when I purchased it we got it home and opened it to find it was cracked. Went back to Sears and got another one with no problem but when we opened this one it was fine but we realized it was packed totally different then the first one we purchased which means they sold us a product that was returned by someone else and it was damaged. Now Sears is 18 miles from my house and having to take a truck to get it was not only a waste of time going there and back twice but the amount of gas used because this product was large. Please do not sell returned broken products, it really makes me want to buy my stuff elsewhere.

395 Elliptical

Nice item to have at home. Get a nice work out anytime you want. Easy to install. Do not like the fact that it did not come with an electric plug. You must pay extra for that. I wish I had paid attention on that, as it would have been a deal breaker for me. I will now have to buy the electric plug for another 40 to to 50 dollars..

Dangerous and cumbersome

Since we bought this item 7 months ago it has spent more time waiting for repair than it has been being used. We surrendered our gym membership and since then this thing has been several shades of broken, dangerous and immobile. It has had more defective parts than rewarding use.

PRO FORM 395 E...SQUEAKY, WOBBLY AND CHEAP

PLAIN AND SIMPLE THIS ELLIPTICAL MACHINE IS A PIECE OF JUNK! It squeaks horribly loud and wobbles from side to side. I missed the 90 day dealine to return it and now I'm stuck with it because the 5 year warranty is only on the frame and I would have to pay for the technician to come out and fix it....THE WORST PURCHASE EVER!
