GREAT WORKOUT - DURABLE AND USEFUL!!! October 27, 2009
I LOVE THIS MACHINE. MY HUSBAND AND I BOTH USE IT AND WE BOTH GET A GOOD WORKOUT. I LOVE THE WIRELESS HEART MONITIR STRAP AND MULTIPLE USER SETTINGS. THE LENGTH OF THE STRIDE IS LONGER THAN MOST ELIPTICALS. THE MACHINE IS MADE OF STRONG MATERIALS. MY HUSBAND WEIGHS OVER 230 LBS AND RIDES THIS THING WITH HIGH INTENSITY, WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.

Not worth the trouble! July 23, 2007
I bought the Schwinn 438 elliptical to try and save some money because I knew you could not buy an actual elliptical for under a thousand dollars. Well needless to say within the first month I had problem after problem. The control board broke and I returned the piece for another thinking it was an out of box issue but my "new" one worked okay for about a month and a half until the control mast snapped. I am not a big person nor is my wife. I am 5'7" 170lbs. and my wife is a lot smaller than I am considerably. The manufacturer's weight limit said 300lbs. and I am no where close. I have since trashed the piece and will no longer try to just save a buck and make my choice in ellipticals as serious as I take my fitness so I have now purchased a VISION 1400 elliptical. I am very pleased with the piece and the extended warranty was about $75.00 cheaper than my previous choice and covers more, in fact it's almost like having full coverage insurance on a car, it covers everything and they will even buy it back from me in the event it cannot be fixed!

I love this work out equipment. It is the only thing I have used in which I have had REAL results! It is amazing how the fat came right off so quickly and I lost alot of weight. It is a durable, solid machine and high quality. Much better workout than the treadmill as well! And more effective with less stress to my joints, so I feel great with no pain afterward!

We have had this elliptical for about 9 months and have used it regularly. For the price it has lots of features, plus it doesn't take up nearly as much space as other units. Its considerably more stable than other units and doesn't feel cheap. It also has nice stride range. If you don't want to spend 5-7K to get one like the gyms have, this is a nice substitute for home use.
