So far so good but could be better March 03, 2009
The unit went together fairly easy. However is very heavy and requires a large hand truck and/or 3 or 4 men to move it to the assembly area, which should be very near where you plan to use it My unit had a computer problem which rendered half the controls useless. But Sears sent out a repairman the next day. It took 10 days for a new part to arrive and be installed. I felt that Sears handled the problem in a fast and efficient manner. The unit is much quieter than some treadmills I have heard. It is easy to hear the TV if you kick it up a notch. The pre-programmed 30 min workouts are fine. However, do not lower intensity once a program has started. The intensity drops to virtually nothing. Then if you raise intensity it goes through the ceiling... really fast! If you stop a program, it will not resume from the same point and intensity when you hit start. These are minor problems and do not effect normal usage of the uniy. Over all I am pleased.

Just as the review title says; this treadmill is sad. My wife and I ordered it based on many points such as other reviews, Proform's reputation, Sear's reputation, features, and lastly price. I thought I did a lot of research online and was satisfied this machine was compatible with our needs: strictly walking (we're both in our 40's), sturdy strength (I'm a fairly big guy), compact size (limited space, it was to be an addition to our other exercise equipment), and good value for our money. We ordered it online and had it shipped to a nearby Sears outlet. When we went to pick it up we discovered the Sears outlet had this exact machine on display (in addition to an NordicTrac A2350) and we were able to not only examine it, but also 'take it for a spin'. Within 3 minutes we refused to accept our machine, sent it back, and ordered the NordicTrac A2350 in its place! The Proform was pitiful. The handles and console swayed side to side with very little effort on our part, the 'ski' bars were absolutely useless unless you are ten years old and less than 5' tall, the platform creaked when we stepped on it, the motor whined when raising WITHOUT anyone on the platform...it was just sad in our opinions. I truly do not believe it would last a year with daily use. The NordicTrac A2350 next to it however was very nice and only $100 more. It was much more stable and appeared to be of a better quality construction and materials. The motor raised (with me standing on it walking at 3mph) effortlessly and with little noticeable noise. The platform was solid and made 0 noise when stepped on. The console was considerably nicer (no fan though), and the iFit technology was really nice (we purchased several iFit cards there on sale also. Our NordicTrac had to be ordered so we do not have it yet (in a day or two), but we are confident we made a much better choice. And by the way, the Sears showroom salesman was EXTREMELY courteous in answering our questions, demonstrating the NordicTrac, canceling our previous order and reordering our new machine. As in the past, we have never regretted going to Sears. You get what you pay for, so if you have to pay a little more...it's worth it!

This treadmill has exceeded my expectations and I couldn't be more pleased.
The ease of operating the pre-set functions makes each workout simple; and by just hitting a couple buttons, your workout begins. My older treadmill had to be manually raised and lowered to incline but this one is just a push of a button away. The built-in fan on the panel is also a nice addition and runs very quietly to help keep me a little cooler during my workout. I would highly recommend this treadmill to a friend and be confident they would be happy with their purchase.
I like the price best of all, as this treadmill has many of the same functions as higher priced treadmills at half the cost. Both my wife and I are pleased with the ProForm XP CrossWalk 580.

I ordered this awesome machine on Wed and it was delivered and setup and assembled 3 days later by 2 very pleasant gentlemen. Can't beat that for service. This treadmill looks and performs much like a $2000.00 machine. The workouts are incredible. You can start slow and increase as you see fit for your level. I so pleased with it. Now I can get the workout that I've always wanted. Its so easy to use and very quiet. I love it. Treat yourself you'll be glad that you did and the price is right.

I bought this in May 2009 and being a Big Beautiful Women that was 2 pounds shy of Max. weight I went and bought it!!! Guess what it's the best thing I ever did in my life I am down 20 pounds and the treadmill is great. The only thing is that there is no pause or cool down time automatically but for $500.00 total (yes with tax we pay higher prices in Hawaii) I couldn't pass it up. If you really want a treadmill this is the best I think for beginners and advanced!! I paid for the set up and delivery it was a breeze with SEARS!!! MAHALO!!1
