Can't be Beat for the Price! May 27, 2008

I rated this as 5 Stars for Numerous Reasons... 1) Plain and Simply this cannot be beat for the $599 price that we paid from Sears. 2) The quality of the cabinet is Very Good. 3) The Artwork on the Cabinet is Excellent. 4) The instructions/manual are easy to read and very good and does mention to power everything on before you seal the cabinet up as someone else mentioned that it does not say this. 5) The manufacturer includes a few extra screws just n case :) 6) The Controls feel very good and do not feel cheap like many other gaming systems. 7) The monitor is a Flat Screen CRT which is a little more pricey than a standard CRT and looks Great when installed. 8) Has an initial self Test at boot-up and then goes directly into the gaming menu quite quickly. 9) High Quality Leg Levelers and not the cheap low grade stuff. 10) Nice lighted Marquee which makes this system look like a Real Arcade cabinet. The only drawback is that this does not have a trackball or spinner for games like Tempest and Millipede but this was known before I purchased the cabinet. For the Sale price of $599 it is a definite BUY!!!

Fun but disppointing May 19, 2008

The cabinet its self is a little shorter and a little narrower than typical coinop cabinets. It is comfortable for one adult to sit on a stool in front of it, but two adults or standing is a bit awkward. This works out, since there aren't very many simultaneous 2 player games included. Perhaps the most disappointing aspect, it doesn't save high scores. You can get a high score and enter your name, but as soon as you exit the game back to the game menu, or power the unit off, your high score is lost. Additionally, the unit uses a low end VGA CRT, which is great as they are readily available and can be replaced easily. However, the unit that came with mine had poor color convergence resulting in up to 1/4" ghosting on some areas of the CRT. Very distracting when playing certain games. All that said, the controls work pretty well, and the games are of course fun.

For the sale price, it was a great deal! March 10, 2010
    By kmtman of Waukesha, WI

When this item was on sale, the price could not be beat.  Some of these items when they are selling for over $1000 are not a good deal, but when they get in the $500-$800 range, it is definitely worth it as it is great for entertaining and parties and gets you to relive your childhood and some of your favorite games.

    Awesome August 30, 2008
    By frodo of Aurora IL

This system is a good buy. Like said previously, roller ball would be a definite PLUS, as well as being able to use the 2nd player joystick on all of the games when you choose 2 players. Example when you choose 2 players on Space Invaders, you have to keep switching using the 1st joystick. Screen shots and video is great, be sure to have an electric screwdriver to assemble this. Some of the games I never heard of but the kids enjoy them.

    Good product August 27, 2008
    By notpleasedatalll of Unknown

It is a ok game system. Good enough quality. But I bought it for $599 and 32 days later it went on sale for $399 and Sears policy only allows for 30 days to get any money back. They would not flex at all on this policy and they were rude about the whole thing too. My recomendation is to avoid sears.com. Sorry, just the truth!

Well Built Compact Home Arcade August 19, 2008
    By Gamer99 of Houston TX

I picked this up at a great sale price of 599.00 and am extremely happy with my purchase. I couldn't find any other home multi-arcade any where close to that price. It is well constructed and has very sturdy controls that should hold up for quite some time. the cabinet looks great and is compact but still big enough for an adult to comfortably play. It really needs a trackball for several of the games and there are very few that take advantage of the 2-player setup. If you can find it on sale I highly recommend it if you like the game selection.
