Schwinn  Drifter 26'' Mens Cruiser Bike

My husband and I ride almost daily. He has had some major heart issues. Last Aug the Schwinn he had for many years was stolen. I had a very hard time getting him to look for a new bike. I wasn't sure about this bike because his original bike was a 7 speed. He will only ride a Schwinn and it seems very hard to find a 7 speed cruiser in a color he liked. He showed me this bike and his eyes lit up. Whenwe looked at it he rode it to the register and bought it. He had to adjust everything and tighten it up. He is very pleased with it. He rides literally 35 miles a week on it. The bike is very well made. It stops and rides very well. It is a very comfortable bike. He LOVES it. The grips and seat are nice and soft. Paint job is very nice. We are going to get a 7 speed rear hub and convert it from a single speed soon. He has gone on 20 mile rides with zero problems. This bike is great. I love that he is happy with it. My husband is all over the Schwinn Facebook Page. I'm glad he's happy

My wife bought me this to replace my older Schwinn that was stolen. I knew i would have to set this bike up......I tightened and adjusted everything on it. I am using this bike to ride to work and to excersise on. This is a great bike, and I love mine as much as my Schwinn that was stolen. Thanks for having it on sale too.

Great bike

I purchased a Huffy Cranbrook from ***** which lasted about two weeks before I returned it. I went the cheap route, was that a mistake? I reverted to my original decision to purchase Schwinn's Drifter and it is more than I imagined. I ride this bike at least 5 days a week. It is an awesome and comfortable ride.

Good fit and finish, comfortable seat. Tubes kinda cheap and thin so I docked a star. Smooth Cruiser!

I went to the Laguna Hills Sears today and bought this Beach Cruser. I made the mistake of getting it in the box. When I got it home I removed it from the box on my livingroom floor. It came with fenders that I planned on removing and selling on line. I was mad when I found out the fenders were just shover around the rear tire and had a cheap plactic wrapping on them. Upon closer inspection I found the front fender was dented from the factory and painted over poorly and then scratched from packaging but made it past Quality Control ( the lack there of ). The new Schwinn was from China. I'm sad to say that Schwinn has lowered the standard on an American Icon. I put the bike together the way I wanted it to look ( Fenderless ). The black paint had some scratches on it that I fixed with a black paint pen from the Art & Craft store. I sat on the bike after the build and saw two welds on the side bars that go from the seat post to the fork down tube. the welds are not even in the same place. I rode it around the block and was happy again. All in All I would say it is an easy build but have sears do it so you can get one without all the scratches. I would return it but thats not my style. " shame on me for not inspecting it at the store ". I hope this will help the next person thinking of buying a Schwinn from Sears.

Ride it 3-4 times a week, own 2 of them.... very sturdy, great buy!

I got this bike last month and could'nt be happier. It cruises perfect. I get all kinds of people checking it out. I liked it so much, I bought my wife the lady's version. Both are great, I recommend them both.

Bought on-line Friday am.  Friday evening got an eMail from Sears/K-mart giving UPS shipping info.  Told my wife "that is why we buy from one of the largest retailers in the world!"  Bike is in UTAH and going to New Mexico (one of New Mexico's "4 corners") But...all that next week, NOTHING from the UPS web site.  The following Monday 10 days later, bike starts moving inside the ups system and we have it Thursday.  14 days from order.  BOO...Hiss...SEARS / K-Mart shipping!!! Now...the bike.  I wanted an older style bike to mount my motor kit on, and there was never a better name than SCHWINN when I was young.  Now bikes are made in CHINA.  I would give it only 4 stars....and ZERO stars on the delivery service.
