    48" medal foosball table perfect for family room February 24, 2012

    We purchased this foosball table last Christmas for our boys and it has bit a big hit with them and all of their friends. I was apprehensive at first because we have purchased a similar table in the past and it seemed to fall apart very quickly. I am happy to report that this table has help up very well to our rough and tumble kids. It is well made and a great value for the price. The only downside was that one of the plastic ball pockets on one of the ends came off once, but it was still intact and we were able to easily fix it.

    Cheap quality, but that's what you should expect for the price December 15, 2011

    My wife bought me this foosball table from Sears.  The sides, legs and playing surface are all MDF material, but they're ok and decent and even look pretty good.  I didn't have any issues with that.  The playing surface is also very thin, but again, I didn't feel any loss in quality of play due to that.  You will need to spend some time assembling it because it comes completely disassembled.

    The problems that we experienced were with the rods themselves:

    1. The playing rods are hollow steel, so they are very light, which gives it a "cheap" and light feeling when you play.

    2. Since the rods are hollow, they are already somewhat not completely straight out of the box.  If you spin one end, you can see the other end wobble.  If you play hard, it's not hard to get them bent which makes it even worse...

    3. The handles which you just slide on the rods don't want to stay on all the time and as you pull the rods towards yourself, some are coming off.  You might need to use super glue to attach them more permanently.

    4. The rubber ends that you attach to the opposite ends of the rods are also coming off easily (super glue again...)

    5. The bushings that the rods go into are cheap and don't hold the rods tight.. So if you want to spin one of your rods so all of your players are pointing up, it won't stay up unless you hold it with your hand in that position..

    6. The way that the players attach to the rods is quite horrible due to the hollow rods.  The rods have a hole for the screw to go in through one side of the player, then into the rod, then out the rod on the other side and into the player on the other side.  The problem is that becaue the rod is hollow, it's very hard to get the screw to go straight, so you will likely miss the hole on the other side of the rod.  It will take several attemps per each player to get it right.

    7. Because the rods are hollow and material is so thin, the screws that you screw the players in with can easily spin out if you apply too much torque.

    THIS TABLE IS GOOD ONLY IF YOU NEVER PLAYED WITH A REAL FOOSE TABLE.

     THE BALLS FEEL PLASTIC AND THE PLAYERS ROD IS VERY THIN. THE BOARD WITHIN A WEEK LOST IT'S SHAP AND THE BALL ALWAYS ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE.

    THIS IS JUST A TOY FOR 5 YEARS UNDER. AVOID IF YOU REALLY WANT TO HAVE FUN WITH YOUR WHOLE FAMILY OR FRIENDS.

    Assembly took 50 minutes. Instructions were easy to read. Leveled legs and have no problems with table. Its not a professional table but for the price (even if its regular price, I bought on sale) its worth the money. We played several hours testing it out before Santa gives it to the kids lol and our handles or other end caps havent came off yet. Kids and adults will spend several hours in game room. We like it and so far we have no complaints.
