I've owned this set of pans for over a year now. I love them! I haven't had any problems with the non-stick coating peeling. I will note that I do hand wash my pans - I never put them in the dishwasher. I also use wooden spoons so I don't scratch the non-stick surface. These pans are great! The bottoms are thick, they cook food evenly and maintain a constant temperature well. The lids do get a bit hot when cooking for awhile, but I just use a hot pad to pick them up. I love these pans and they are a great bargain for the price. I love them so much I am getting my mom a set for Christmas.

Quality isn't the same as the open stock saute pan July 29, 2010
Included with our induction stove (which we love!) was a non-stick stainless steel saute pan. It was wonderful. Nice and heavy and well made. We immediately went online to see if they sold it as a set as we needed all new ones for the stove. I saw what looked like the same thing and ordered it for pickup in the store. When we got home we saw the obvious differences. The pans in the set weren't nearly as heavy as the open stock pan was. The handles were a cheaper variety. The pan was thin enough that the Kenmore emblem that was stamped on the bottom of the pan was showing thru the non stick part of the surface. I called Kenmore and asked if they had the open stock variety of pan available as a set as I would happily box these up and take them back, but unfortunately they don't. We have decided to keep them as they are one of the few non stick stainless steel pan sets that are reasonably priced on the market. We have only had them a couple of weeks, so I can't vouch for the durability of the non stick finish. Come on Kenmore! Save the cheap pans for the open stock stuff! Put the nice ones in the sets.

Why don't all the companies that make stainless cookware get on the bandwagon? We looked everywhere for something like this -- quality stainless + nonstick -- in something other than a skillet. Pots and pans are heavy, well-balanced and work really well on our induction stove.

Cons:
non-stick surface delaminatesBought as a Christmas gift to replace our cookware.
The non-stick surface on the 3-Quart pan has badly delaminated and is virtually useless since the black flakes get into the food now.
Should've paid more for something better.

I have really enjoyed cooking with these pans. I have five children and we do live on a budget I compared prices with other sets from other stores and the quality of these pans and price you cannot beat. I clean them with bar keepers friend to keep them looking new.
