    Best Waffle Maker EVER!!! November 15, 2009

    Bought this just a few days ago. I was kind of hesitant to buy it because of the price, but all I can say now is it was well worth it! I compared other flip style models out there and chose the Kenmore because of the timer, illuminated displays and if you even want a crispier waffle there's a crisp button option. Since a few days ago I've made several waffles and they turned out perfect and professional everytime! I actually think they come out better than restaurant quality waffles as they come out the same size but tastier. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I never really was a waffle person but this machine has changed my mind as i used to be more of a pancake person. I've tried other machines in the past and they were always hard to take out and their "non-stick" surfaces were not really non stick.      Even though the instructions recommend spraying or brushing oil on the irons, I've tried it without oil and they always slip out of the iron perfectly. Also there are 3 browning options for the timer depending on how light or crispy you like waffles. I'm sure this waffle iron will last for years to come as I've always had a good experience with Kenmore brand appliances. Definitely recommend this to anyone as a gift or just to have to make tasty brunches or waffles anytime!!!

    Makes great waffles, but flimsy construction May 21, 2010

    I brought this waffle iron a few months ago.  I have used it 4 times.  The first two times, it was great...the waffles were brown and crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.  I especially liked the timer.  The third time, a screw came out of the top iron plate and ended up baked into a waffle!  I replaced the screw and used it again last weekend.  Well after cooking a few waffles, the flip mechanism got stuck and I was trying to wrestle with a hot waffle iron to get it open and retrieve the waffle.  Needless to say that I am returning the item...if the construction were a little better I would have easily given this a 5-star rating.

    iron plates should detach to be cleaned,flimsy construction,lousy warrenty

    This prodect makes great waffles. But after a 6 monthe the handle broke off and Sears would not take it back and for the prce I feel we were ripped off. Now it is in the garbage.
