Hamilton 4Qt Slow Cooker a great buy March 01, 2011
I am happy with my purchase, mostly because I got such a good price. This slow cooker is the perfect size. It's not too big and yet it's not too small. It stores easily and I like that the crock part is able to be taken out of the heating base to be washed. I am a bit disappointed in that I feel it warms up a little slower than I would like. It does eventually get hot...and does the job it is supposed to do. I also like the fact that it has three settings to choose from. The warm setting works well for just what it implies.
This crock pot came packed extremely well in the box and nothing was broken or out of place. It was in stock and able to be picked up the next day after I place my order.
This is my first Hamilton Beach kitchen appliance purchase and overall, I am pleased. I would certainly consider buying another Hamilton Beach product in the future given the positive experience I've had with this slow cooker.

For the price it's good March 08, 2011
But the one I receieved from Sears had it's handle cracked and soon broke off when I took it out of the box. I'd replace it but for $11 and the only sears 20 miles away has it; it's not worth the gas money.
Function wise, it works fine. Had no problems with it.

Low Cost,price is good,Excellent on-line price.,Functional,warm setting as well!I gave one as a wedding gift and the other as a "new home" house -warming gift. I had expected to pay at least $20-30 each and was EXTREMELY happy that I purchased BOTH for less than I expected to pay for one.

Pros:
Low Cost,price is good,Excellent on-line price.,warm setting as well!Has a "warm" feature, which is great to have, and it is oval, so you can roast a whole chicken in it, unlike the tall, round ones. Price was excellent, and ship-to-store was free...however...when we picked this up, the outside product box was crushed. We checked the cooker and it was packed and was fine, but giving this as a gift was embarrassing. As for the size, it's about right for a family of 4. I would not go any smaller myself.
