Quick brew, good coffee October 06, 2011

Love this coffee pot!!  We have had this coffee pot for about a year and a half and have had no major problems with it.  It is great because in the time it takes to bring the dog outside we have a pot of coffee ready.

The only problem we have had is that we have very hard water and it tends to get clogged with lime deposits quite frequently, so I have to run vinegar through it about every 2 months.  Other than that, it has worked great for us.

My husband was also concerned about how much energy it uses since the heating tank is on all the time but our city offers the use of a free voltage meter and according to that it costs us less than $2.00 a year to leave it plugged in and on 24/7.

Bunn Coffee Maker June 18, 2010

I just unpacked this Bunn coffee maker. Wiped it with a damp cloth. Rinsed the decanter and sat down and read the directions. The sprayhead comes unnattatched. The user guide says to screw it on. After 12 minutes of trying to screw it on I quit. So I called the 1-800 number on the user guide. I explain my situation to the Bunn electronics person and she informs me that they had a batch of bad sprayheads go out with their coffee makers. Great. She will send me 2 of two different types via the United States Postal Service and should be at my door any day. I live in Maine and its coming from Illinois. It's gonna be like any week before I get to have a cup of coffee. Bummer.Can't wait to see if it really tastes good.

a very quick a delcious pot of coffee in a relatively short time May 04, 2010

This coffee maker is great especially for a person like me who desires good coffee and I don't mean Folgers or Yuban good because there is no such thing.  I start with the good stuff that is locally roasted and grind it myself when every-time I want a make a pot of coffee and generally that only takes less than 30 seconds.  The nice thing with the coffee pot is because it takes practically no time at all to brew it almost starts instantanious, is the best thing about it.  The water reservoir is already one step ahead because it has water almost to temp waiting for you to use - yes that means you are using electricity constantly for that purpose, but to be honest I didn't realize it in my monthly electric bill  besides I am sure I am conserving doing something else like not waiting in the line at the drive through espresso stand with my engine running or something.  No this machine does not do espresso, but the point here is that I like a good cup or two of coffee in the morning and this is the answer.  I start the pot, jump in the shower, and by the time I have dried off the pot is done.  I pour my first cup of coffee and head back to the bathroom to add the finishing touches to myself as I am enjoying my coffee at the same time.  Have you ever been in a hotel that has a coffee maker that makes only 2 cups of coffee and that silly thing seems to take 20 mins to do so?  Well this does not happen with this machine, it is done in around 5 mins or less.  I think what you spend in cost you make up with in time.
