Love, love this appliance, I used to use the stove kettle all the time for teas and more but this Electric one is super cool I even take it on trips and hook it up to my car adapter and instantly have hot water for whatever I want! Love it, so easy to use and safe too!

This teakettle is light weight, and because it is plastic I never worry about it getting knocked off the counter. I would recommend this to everyone!

The best kettle ever. This is easy to use and quick. The best tea ever.

This model gets the job done in good time, but only to boil water. It does not steep the tea and has to be unplugged to pour. I'm always finding myself looking for the plug to hook it back up! My next electric kettle will definitely have a steeping ability.

This kettle heats up the water very fast. I never have to wait long for a cup of tea. It has been very reliable for a year now. At first I was disappointed it did not keep water hot but once I found out how quickly it heats the water I am no longer concerned.

this review is in reference to product: Proctor Silex 1 qt. Electric Kettle Item # 00849140000P. this electric kettle is a nice product. it gets the job done, and is quite inexpensive in my opinion. I would recommend it to other people who are looking for one.

After reading a few reviews that weren't all too positive on this kettle, I wavered back and forth on the decision to buy or not to buy. I finally decided to do so.

Though this electric kettle is ridiculously inexpensive through Kmart and Sears, it should be known that the quality of this item far exceeds the "cheap" price.

I've been using it at least twice daily for the past couple weeks I've owned it and am amazed at how efficient and friendly it is.

Some complained that there is plastic taste to the boiled water. The instructions state clearly that it should be broken in by boiling water in it and then emptying it, rinsing it, and then repeating.

I followed the directions and have not encountered a "plastic" taste to the water.

A great feature to this kettle is the automatic shut off feature.

If you're looking for an electric kettle at a cost effective price without having to sacrifice quality or safety, give this electric kettle a try.

I had a kettle before, the disadvantage of it was that it cannot automatically cut off power when the hot water is ready. I regret to buy that one, and I would like to buy a new one. 

This one satisfies my requirements --  it is portable and flexible to use. In addition, the capacity of the kettle is enough for hot water drinking or tea making. The most important point for me is that it is auto-shut off. Since then, do not worry the electric power accident anymore. This kettle can handle that for me!!!! Do not forget that it heats water quickly.

This electric kettle is great.  I use it every morning to boil water to make coffee in a French press.  I thought maybe, being plastic, it would have tainted the water with a plastic taste but it does not at all.  I've even used it to hard boil eggs.  Place 3 or 4 (depending on the size) in the bottom.  Cover with one inch of water.  Turn it on.  After it comes to a boil & shuts off wait 15 minutes.  There you go.  A great multitasker.
