    Makes excellent toast. February 19, 2011

    It is a good toaster for the price. Purchased it to replace another Black and Decker toaster that my family had had for many years. It heats up fast. Works super well for toast. We have made small pizzas and it cooks them quickly. The bell when the toast is done has a good tone. The knobs take a little bit of getting used to as there are a lot of numbers around them and they run into the numbers from the next knob. But, otherwise, it works well. I did burn my hand a couple of times at first when opening the door. I think that the handle is a little bit lower than needed and as you rotate the door open, your hand ends up between the handle and the hot glass door/window. All in all, a good toaster for the price with acceptable looks.

    Black&Decker toaster oven. Fire hazard, read FINE PRINT!! August 04, 2010

    Gave it 2 stars because it was cheap, or else it would have been one star.  This toaster oven is a FIRE HAZARD.  I owned a smaller toaster oven before this.  I bought this because it was larger, and cheaper than others it size.  You have to read the FINE PRINT under the blue LED!!!  You have to turn the bottom knob past 10, then turn it back or else this toaster oven won't turn off by itself, and will continue to cook your food, proceed to burning it black, and set it afire!  Stupid design!

    Bought this to replace an old cheap-brand unit that stopped working. Thought B&D was a good name. Like many manufacturers, they're making them cheaper than they used to. While it looks good, this unit doesn't scream "quality" when you touch it. Everything seems kind of thin compared to the units they used to make. I think they are just licensing the B&D name now. But the toaster over works just fine. It does give off that "new burning smell" for a while when you first use it (several times). But on the good side, the controls are simple to use & the unit is very easy to clean (the insides), which is a plus that some makes do not share. For a low-cost, low-use appliance, it does what it's supposed to do.

    This toaster oven is great. It cooks everything faster and with less energy than my oven. I even feel safe with my kids using it. Easy to clean and makes snacks in no time.

    A couple of months ago I needed a new toaster. What I got was the Black and Decker 4-Slice Toaster Oven. I love it! I have baked cakes, cookies, brownies, pies, pizza and many other things in it. It has a bagel setting for my bagels even. Works great

    I purchased this for my daughter and she is wild about it...uses it everyday. It is just her & husband so this is perfect to cook for 2 people. No more heating up the house with oven!
