KitchenAid  Countertop Oven

Before I always felt like I never had a good toaster, didn't cook evenly, couldn't get the temperature right so would burn and light things on fire and so on. I am getting married and recently received the above toaster as a gift. I love it! No problems so far. It feels like a real mini oven. You can bake and toast which I like. The buttons are easy to manage and my favorite, it has a ton of space!! You could bake a small turkey in it. If you are looking for a toaster then I would consider this one. I own a few KitchenAid products and have been impresses. It really is what it says in the title "Countertop Oven"

My family of 4 wanted a toaster oven. I was against it because I have very little counter space and feel they are an over sized toasters that always look dirty with visible crumbs. What a surprise! This is a multipurpose quality appliance that has lived up to all the positive reviews. Although you can buy a smaller unit, it won't do the variety of cooking this unit will. I have used this countertop oven for toast, baking nut bread, a pie, hotdogs, baked potatoes etc... I have had this unit for a month and have used it everyday. (Everyone in the family can operate it.) The best part is the clean up! All you have to do is pull the tray out and wipe clean. No disassembling to make it look good. This oven is well worth the money and counter space.

Overall, I like this toaster oven, and I generally agree with the other positive reviews. My only reservation is with the timer: it's an imprecise analog dial. What does that mean in operation? Suppose you want to make toast. Pop in the bread, crank the dial past 5 minutes, and then set it to the approximate time you want. Unfortunately, that means a lot of variability in the results. If you wanted 6 minutes, do you get 6 minutes 30 seconds, or perhaps 5 minutes 40 seconds? In practice, I have found it necessary to set the timer on my microwave oven, then fire up the toaster oven. When the microwave timer goes off, my toaster oven food is done. Not convenient. It's a good toaster oven otherwise, but really, couldn't a digital timer have been included? They're pretty darned inexpensive!

I love my KitchenAid toaster oven. Before I purchased, I read all the reviews. It wasn't rated very highly by many. I believe the reason for this is that it works more like an oven than a toaster. It does require a few minutes of preheating for perfect results. Have you ever had old fashioned oven toast? It's different from toast from a toaster. Much better. This is the toast produced with this oven. I've had it for a couple of months, and I get perfect toast every time. This goes also for everything else I've cooked or heated in this oven. I read in one review that it had only 1 rack position. Take my word: It has 4. I read in another that the exterior was faulty. Mine is perfect. I read in another that the oven didn't go off automatically. It does. I read in another that the rack slid out too fast and fell on the opened door. OOPS!! I thought this was "operator error", and laughed the first time it happened. Just be aware, and use a hot pad to slide the rack out. If you use a fork, it WILL slide out and land on the opened door!! I think the teflon interior contributes to this issue. I took a chance because it's KitchenAid. I'm glad I did!! Another quality product!! This is the classiest little toaster oven I've every had! The exterior is really stainless steel on the front, and the body is beautifully finished in red. I'll deal with the sliding rack!

This toaster oven is very attractive, and easy to clean. Works great--people are always asking where I got it!

Nice quality but it would be better if the timer was able to be set for an hour instead of 30 minutes. Wire shelves would have been easier to use if a stop to keep them from sliding out of the oven too easily had been included in the design as is often found in large ovens. The oven performs nicely overall.
