Since I hate eating carrots and sometimes I'm too lazy to get my full servings of fruits and veggies a day, I thought the most time saving and convenient way for me to be healthy is to get a juicer. And now I get TONS of nutrients. It can be a little annoying to clean up, the grinder/strainer part can be kind of a pain. But I've found that if I juice a lot in one day, it can last me through the whole week and it's definitely worth it! I'm pretty conservative in my juicing right now, sticking to mostly carrots, oranges and apples. I've tried tomatoes but it doesn't seem to get all the juice out...but still pretty tasty!

Having purchased a Juiceman Jr about 10 years ago & had a great run with it, I naturally chose to purchase the same item again when I needed a new one. The model with the same name is definitely not the same quality as the old one. The "new" Jr has way too many issues: the pulp discard container does not fit under the unit without extreme force & even then it makes the unit off balance. Like so many other reviewers mentioned - the basket does not come out easily for cleaning. And, on the white model - everything white is stained immediately by the color of the vegetable. I gave it a 2 rating only because the juicing mechanism works really well - if you want to deal with the hassle of all the rest of it. (And, I love Sears) I do not recommend the Juiceman Jr though - pay more - get a better model.

MomI purchased the 2 speed Junior Juiceman last year. As first I was exstatic until the first clean-up came around. ):
It did a great job juicing the pineapple, apple and grapes that I was using to make juice. What I didn't realize is that little pieces of fruit flesh would get caught up in it. It comes apart okay, but cleaning the individual pieces is time consuming.
Also when trying to put it back together, you have to be one of the original makers or something. I had to get my husband to help me so I could click everything back in place. The one good thing is that I didn't pay full price. Now I just think it is more trouble than it is worth using it.

health consciousI just bought this juicer yesterday. But I have used it about 5x times in two days. I got it for 45$ on clearnace at Sears and I have to say, so far I love it. For $45 I have NO complaints, but had I paid market price of $62.99, I wouldnt be so easy going with this product. So overall its great, but the down side is I dont get as much juice as I had hoped from all fruits and veggies. Most do well but Pears for instance are a waste. Pears seem to puree and you get pear sauce, not juice. Most of the pear ends up in the pulp bucket and some puree drips into the cup. The chute isnt big enough to put whole fruits down, even though its made for it. Small apples and oranges are too big, usually just barely fitting, so you have to cut them in half. The pros are the COST, for sure, and cleaning takes minutes, with the most time spent on the fruit basket. But what is nice, is it comes with a brush that works perfectly for cleaning every peice. Its simple to assemble, and disassemble. I only need to rinse everything with hot/warm water, havent needed to use soap yet. Its not too loud, tolerable for the morning. The catch cup comes with a solid plastic screen that helps to keep the foam from coming out when you pour your delicious juice into a cup.
I found that putting the juicier, softer fruits first followed by the harder ones works best. The harder ones such as apples, cause the most clogs in the screen with thier skins. Cucumber works great, beets worked well, celery and carrots all great. The only thing im realy disappointed by are pears. Pomegranite worked nice too, but only the seeds I didnt do the whole thing. you have to keep in mind that you will juice whatever you put in their, so dont juice rinds and skins you dont want to taste. Orange rinds are bitter, and pomegranite pith not so good.
Overall I say if you can get this for less than market price, its worth the buy, but if you have the money to spend on something over $70 dollars than try something better. But i recommend comparing products at the store before you buy. Look for something with a bigger fruit basket for a centrifugal juicer, and a larger chute if you decide to not go with this one.
