DCC-RWF. For use with all Cuisinart Coffeemakers featuring our premium Charcoal Water Filtration System. Made and printed in Germany.
Directions: To Replace the Water Filter: 1. Lift the water reservoir lid. Remove the filter holder by grasping the intended areas with your fingers. 2. Open holder and discard used water filter. 3. Remove the new filter from the plastic bag and place it in the recessed area at the bottom of the water filter holder. 4. Close the water filter holder. 5. Put the water filter holder under cold running tap water for 10 seconds to flush. Drain the filter completely. 6. Replace filter in coffeemaker, pushing all the way down to ensure a snug fit. We recommend changing the water filter every 60 days or 60 uses - more often if you have hard water.

Charcoal Water Filter- GREAT item July 07, 2010
This is a nice addition to the already round filter on the coffee basket. It REALLY helps when coffee grounds are accidently dropped (or any other matter) in the water compartment ! Can only be used with the Kenmore 12 cup maker that makes coffee BLAZING fast! A great combo people!!!

Just another little part to keep up with October 19, 2010
We recieved a Cuisinart coffee pot as a wedding present and it uses this filter. Reading about the filter gave confidence in the company attempting to make a better "mouse trap". Reality though is that it is just another small piece to take up part of your mind.
This Cuisinart filter installed easily and was then forgotten. Who is going to remember a little ice cube sized filter ? Do you mark this gem onto your calender for replacement ? What does it cost to drive and get one or have it shipped ? Nice thought..but maintenance on my coffee maker ?
If you use only water from your tap then this will make a better tasting brewed product. What are you regularly ingesting if that is the case ? If you however use filtered fridge water or bottled purity then this coffee maker regular maintenance item is forgettable. I guess it might have a market among the population but it just seems a nuisance.
Different strokes for different folks on this one !
