The kenmore 3-speed blender/food processor is a real space saver March 17, 2011
I love my new kenmore 3-speed blender/food processsor. I had to wait several weeks to get the color I wanted (white), but it was worth the wait. The 2 for 1 aspect is very efficient - one power base with 2 bowl type attachtments. The kenmore 3-speed blender/food processor is powerful - it easily crushes ice at that setting. The food processor bowl had two seperate blade attatchments - one for chopping another for shredding / grating. It is simple to use and easy to clean. It is a good, basic kitchen appliance.

Horrible March 30, 2011
I purchased the above blender/food processor. Both units work good however the blender base is not removable. It's defficult the clean so you have to be carefull not to get cut when cleaning. Also my glass jar cheaped on the top while I was cleaning totally my fault. The plastic base that holds the blades is a one peace unit which can not be removed from the jar. The plastic base it's not sealed and when I wash the blender water gets in that open area and after a while bacteria buildup occurs making it smelly and nasty looking. What a terrible design.I contacted Sears and provided the model # and make. The part was on back order for approximately 3 months. When It was shipped to me the jar did not come with the blades. Which I advised the Sears specialist via phone when I origianlly placed the order, that it's a one peace unit.
I contacted Sears customer service again and told them the jar is missing the base with blades. I was told the blender has replacable blades. I was surprised to find this new information. I ordered the new blades. After a week the blades arrived the only thing it was the wrong one with no base. Sears shipped me the blades for food processor. Again I contacted Sears and was told that is the correct replacement part. After a long debate with the specialist she advised me that I would be credited for the blades but I have to wait for a Sears manager to send me an email for further action. Now the jar is pending. Now I'm stuck with a blender that I can't get the base for it. I payed $ 70 for the blender which works but I can't get the replacement. I forgat to mention it's made in Mexico.

I purchased this blender last year & so far, it is in good condition, nothing is broken so far. However, one drawback is that it makes a lot of noise when you turn on. So, if you've kid, you simply cannot use it a the kids get afraid of loud noises, otherwise its ok to use.
