    This 12 cup programmable by Kenmore brews wonderful coffee!! April 24, 2011

    I purchased this Kenmore Coffee Maker about a month ago to replace my THIRD Hamilton-Beach in a year. Right off the bat I was taken with this machine that beeped at me in 15 minute intervals. The coffee it brews is wonderful. Now in the mornings as I sleepily head down the stairs, the inviting aroma of fresh brewed coffee fills the air, and I find myself looking forward to my day because the smell is so wonderful as it brews, it wakes me up!! (My old coffee maker kept all those nice aromas inside, apparently!

    What I love most about this machine is the 1-4 cup cycle that optimizes the flavor of 1-4 cups. PLUS, it can also be used to increase the intensity of the coffee for any number of cups you are brewing!! I LOVE my strong coffee, and this feature is really a selling point for me.

    I love the beeps that let me know the freshness of my brew. I do not find it annoying at all. And it has never failed to turn off after two hours.

    I love the filter!! I am able to use tap water instead of bottled water, and I enjoy the taste of this coffee so much. I have not tried to purchase replacement filters as of this date, but am sure that I will be able to order them online.

    The water is easy to pour from the carafe into the pot, no spillage, and I love that I am able to see the water level inside the coffee maker.

    The permanent gold tone filter that comes with the coffee maker is especially handy. I no longer have to use paper, and the filter is easy to empty and clean.

    Not having to buy paper filters, or purchase bottled water for this machine is a huge plus for me. The clock was very easy to set, and the timer for auto brewing was/is just as easy. I love the way the buttons light up when I've made my selection, or have set my coffee maker to auto brew for the next morning's cuppa joe!!

    Another thing I have grown to love about this machine is the "time since brew" indicator in the panel display. It beeps, yes, but I can also see a bar that keeps track of the freshness of my brew.

    So far, I don't have any cons for this machine. It's wayyyy better than what I had before, (three of the same brand in one year), and like I said, I've found myself enjoying the beeps and the little green circle lights that appear when I have it set. I have enjoyed this machine and look forward to a long, tasteful relationship!!!!

    My machine does not leak, it just makes one fine cuppa joe!! I'm happy. Very happy with this coffee maker!!!!

    Leaks a lot! January 01, 2011

    This is a nice looking maker. It brews fast and makes great tasting coffee. But I had to take it back because it leaks a lot of water from underneath the coffee maker.That could be a fire hazard. It also has an annoying beep every 15 minutes it is on. When I returned it, I told the clerk it was defective. I then saw her put a clearance sticker on it, so it was going to be resold to another unsuspecting customer! Pass on this model by all means.

    This coffee maker has proven user-friendly for low vision/ARMD. The on-button is round, whereas the other buttons ae square, which makes for easy identification by touch. Each button has a halo of green light when activated which seems low-vision-friendly. The time display itself is only visible in a dark room (for low vision). It has a wide pouring spout and does not dribble like so many carafes. Filling with water is easiest with a funnel. The 4-cup option allows us to save up to $3.00/can on coffee. Apparently the water filter availability is problematic, but so far, we think this is the nicest coffee maker we've ever had.

    I found this product to be effiecient and practical. I work all different hours and the idea of being able to get my coffee pipping hot and delicious is a big part of my day. I can wake up to the strong aroma of hot coffee fragrancing the house. the coffee maker is easy to use. I would reccommend this product to anyone who feels they want a great cup of coffee without the high price.

    This thing is ugly with it's spongebob square face looks, but it was made with quality parts. I was lucky enough to have this given to me so I'm not sure what the cost compared to the features but if it were around $50 I'd say you can beat it if you can stand its looks!
