Cuisinart Pure Indulgence creates delicious ice cream quickly September 10, 2010
I love this ice cream maker. The instruction booklet has several recipes for ice cream, sorbet, gelato, slushies, etc. I love that I can quickly (30 minutes) and easily make my own frozen treats and add however much of whatever I want to my ice cream. The machine is not large and cumbersome; it's the perfect size for my household of 2 to have fresh ice cream and plenty left over. It easily fits into the cupboard.
I generally keep the bowl in the freezer so I don't have to think ahead when I decide I want to make ice cream, but a couple times I've left the bowl out (the freezer is always stuffed after a ****** run!) and forgotten and had to wait to fix my ice cream craving. This, of course, is my own error and has nothing to do with the product itself -- just a reminder to keep the bowl in the freezer if possible!

When I got this Ice cream maker, for some reason I thought that it was self freezing however I was mistaken. You have to put the interior mixing bowl into the freezer before use. Also it states that It only take like 10 minitues to make ice cream however I have had to run it for up to 45 minitues to obtain an decent consistancy. It does however look quite nice and is easy to clean. Bottom Line: If I had known that it was not self freezing I would not have choosen this model, I just dont have the extra freezer space. I feel its over priced for an item that seems to be bankrupt of any good features. It does what a $20 dollar Ice cream maker would do however It does look nicer on the counter.

This ice cream maker is better than the Krups brand. You can have 2quarts in just one setting. It's quiet, easy to clean. elegant looking and easy to use. You can even use it to train kids to sell their homemade icecream at the front yard.

I have actually owned this for a couple of years now and my family loves it. I love that there's no fuss with ice or salt and no cranking. Has worked very well, without any troubles at all. Have tried loads of recipes off the web and the machine has been super every time.
This year I bought another one to give my sister as a wedding gift.
