KitchenAid  Professional 600 6 qt. Stand Mixer - Copper Pearl

This mixer was a gift to my Granddaughter for Christmas. She has tried the mixer and it makes a real loud noise when turned on and is going to be returned for replacement.

I have ALWAYS wanted a quality Stand Mixer. I have had numerous brands from discount stores, but they never last long, one or two baking seasons at best. My grandma had a KitchenAid for 27 years before it could not be repaired, again, and was laid to rest.

I got this one for myself, after scouring the internet to find the best deals, coupon codes, free shipping etc. and received my KitchenAid Professional 600 6 qt. Stand Mixer in Copper Pearl in June. My husband looked at me like I was crazy for ordering something so frivolous and unnecessary in the middle of summer. So I told him my secret, I got it for $175.00 OFF RETAIL PRICE!

I chose to go with the Professional 600 series because I feed a trio of growing boys, including my husband, and I need the size of the 6 qt. bowl and the power of the motor. I have used this to make the 'perfect' mashed potatos, pies, double batches of brownies, pancakes, cakes, homemade bread, quick breads, ice cream, and Divinity (which turned out wonderful, my best batch EVER!), and so much more. I fell in love with the color the moment I saw it. My kitchen is black and copper, so it fits right in, and I use it so often I leave it out on my counter. It is a beautiful accompaniment to any kitchen. Strong, powerful and ready for use at any time.

Sidenote: if you are NOT going to be using your stand mixer on a regular basis as I do, you must remember to take it out and run the motor for a couple of minutes EVERY MONTH, just to keep it working properly and smoothly. If your mixer is not maintained it will let you down when you need it most.

This is the best mixer specially since I have to follow a gluten free diet and the flours do GF are thiker require a blender that last and can hancle the thickness without burning the blender.I went though several blenders The KitchenAid 600 is the best and has been a great addition to my kitchen and will never replace it

This thing is built like a Sherman tank and makes food like you were stirring it with the hand of Hercules.

I always wondered why a MIXER would cost so much, but after getting this thing for my wife for Mother's Day, I FINALLY get it.  You get what you pay for.

Aside from it having a huge capacity, the thing is also beautiful - which I just didn't think mattered in a kitchen appliance - but I do now.  (Hey, I'm a guy - sue me!)

One caution: This thing is OLD SCHOOL - so it's heavy.  Don't say I didn't tell you.

No kitchen can be without a quality mixer. Kitchen Aid has a long standing reputation of quality, durability, and today, style. Whether this mixer or another Kitchen Aid model or color, this is a necessary investment you'll appreciate for every year to come.

We've had this KitchenAid 6Qt. mixer for about 5 years now and its still going strong. If your deciding between the five and the 6Qt. I would definitely go with the six as many times we were glad we chose that one. One complaint is its loud. But I suppose you can't get around that. Sturdy,  heavy, and tough this is a nice mixer.
