Great Tool!
I bought this to make soups and gravies. The other day I made a pot of spaghetti sauce. I wasn't feeling well and had put tomato sauce, tomato paste and whole peeled tomatoes along with seasoning, garlic and some cheeses in my crock pot, put it on low and went and laid down, only meaning to take a cat nap. 3 hours later, I woke up to a wonderful smell. However, the sauce was piping hot and I hadn't chopped up the tomatos or cheeses, so I got out this blender, stuck it down into the sauce and blended everything right up without touching the sides of the crock pot. Amazing sauce and perfectly blended. Pop off the blending unit and right into the dishwasher for a easy cleanup. What a great purchase. Highly recommend this blender!

Love It! Makes quick and easy fruit smoothies and shakes. Chops up ice with no problem. Fruits can be frozen solid and it blends them smooth. Will use this as shower and wedding presents in the future. Highly recommend it to family, friends, and co-workers.

Great for soups!
The Cuisinart immersion hand blender is the perfect tool for soups. I make my favorite elephant garlic soup or roasted tomato soup and I don't have to go through the hassle of tranferring the ingredients from the pot to a blender. This is a must have tool for anyone that makes soup.

Not powerful enought for thick blending, gets too hot
I tried this one and a Kitchenaid blender. Both were not sufficient for my biggest need which is to whip cottage cheese with flax oil. Probably okay for more liquid type blending as soups or mushy fruits/smoothies. I need to blend min. of 2 minutes, it got hot and didn't yet have the job done. It was easy to clean. I returned it and ended up with a Dualit which costs more, but has the power to back up that extra cost.

The Immersion Blender is a wonderful tool in the kitchen. It takes up little space and can be used for a variety of functions in the kitchen. A great 'HAVE" for those many daily uses!

Pureeing is a cinch
This immersion blender is powerful and super easy to use and clean. I have used it to puree soups and loved that it only takes a minute or two, and I can clean it up quickly - much easier than cleaning a blender! I also love that it comes with a little measuring cup to make vinaigrettes or other smaller amounts of liquid in.
