I got this radio free with the 19.2 C3 drill. I couldn't have cared less at the time of purchase, after all, I was buying a drill not a radio. When I got it home and tried it out: wow! Sounds great and really packs a punch! The mp3 player grip works perfectly with my 4G iPod Nano, and you can store the patch cable there when not in use. The red LCD display is ultra-cool. The antennae seems a little flimsy but that's a quibble. I'm almost more psyched about the radio than the drill. Kinda silly that it can only use the C3 battery, oh well.

Does not pick up very strong signals.
The Craftsman 19.2 volt radio is a good idea in theory, but that is it. The radio doesn't pick up anything but the strongest signals and isn't very loud. The antenna also is very tough. The rest of the rubberized radio is very strong and does a good job of protecting the device, but what good is it if any obstruction takes out the signal. Also you cannot charge the battery while using this radio.

A Sound Product...
Wanted something for power outages, as well as camping, and this fit the bill! I only have it for a short time now, so I haven't as of yet used it for it's intended purposes, but I've tested it and checked it out, and at this point, I am very happy with it, and would recommend this item...

It is what it is. An AM FM radio with WX channels. Works well, compact, and it works with battery packs I already have. I am loving the C3 line of tools.

Bad reception, tinny speaker; will be returned
This radio was unable to pick up more than a couple of FM stations (a non-junky radio will pick up over a dozen). The sound quality is also very poor - not good for trying to listen to music at a project site, when some volume is required. The weather radio feature did seem to work decently, so it could function well as an emergency weather radio.
