I purchased this workbench as an early birthday present to myself because I needed a workspace in our garage. I also purchased a few of the Craftsman red/black shelving units to give the garage a uniform theme. The shelves I'd call outstanding, but this workbench isn't quite to that level. That's not to say it isn't a very good workbench though. It's stable, it looks nice, and it's a little on the tall side so I don't have to stoop while I'm working. I'm considering buying another one to place right next to it so I can have a nearly full-wall workbench. The adjustable feet came in very handy because our garage floor slopes in 2 directions (to the center and to the front), so it's very hard to make things level. The feet solved that issue. The only real con to keep in mind however is that the surface of the tabletop scratches VERY easily. After setting my 10-inch miter saw on it just once, there were small scratches in the surface. It doesn't bother me because it's a workbench and it's supposed to look used in my opinion, but if you like things looking perfect, put down some polyurethane to protect it before you use it.
I ran into an issue with the assembly of my workbench because the bag of bolts/nuts/etc wasn't included, and one of the sides actually didn't have the foot-holes bored out of the metal. However, I just took my receipt and the defective side into my local Sears store and they swapped out the parts for me no questions asked. That's the biggest reason I've become such a Craftsman/Sears fan for my tools. They've never given me any hassle if I needed to swap out or return anything. After getting the new parts, assembly was a breeze. I did buy some addtional screws from the hardware store to help hold the tabletop in place better since they only give you 6, but it probably would have been ok without the extras. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I had no issue with sheering off bolts. None of my bolts even required much effort to tighten down, so there was no possibility of over-torquing it.

I bought two of these benches, both with drawers. The metal is very cheap and nothing fits properly, even following their directions to the T. The work surfaces are a joke. In order to work on these surfaces, I had to buy some clear acrylic, otherwise any work done only results in damage to the surface. I was extremely disappointed in both these benches. I also bought two metal peg boards to attach to these.... forget that. I had to "southern engineer" everything in order to get anything to fit and I mounted the metal peg boards to my walls. Sears quality is not apparent on these units. I do have two wall cabinets that works well, and I do have a roller cart with a tool box, both are excellent. But these work benches with the metal pegboards.... what a waste of money and time. I would not recommend these to anyone, not even someone I don't like.

After years of never being satified with many of the products Craftsman makes, I decided to give this bench a try. It was on sale and due to its size and price I figured what the heck.
I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with how sturdy it is. I expected it to be quite flimsly like a lot of craftsman boxes, carts, etc, but it really isn't bad at all. It is definitely a nice starter bench. I was expecting to have to secure it to my garage wall from the back to keep it from moving, but I layed some "puzzle-piece" shock absorbtion padding under it and it doesn't move an inch. I have it tucked in the corner of my garage, so that may have helped, but it definitely doesn't move and feels very sturdy. I also like the fact that it is modular and cabinets / drawers can be added also.
For the money, I don't think it can be beat.
Was very pleased with sturdieness and construction of this workbench. Assembley was easy.
