Great box, great price...
Anyone who is in the market for a new tool chest should look into this great box! I purchased this along with the matching clear coated bottom roll cab. I am very impressed with the build quality and the amount of storage space. The clear coating on the box gives it a nice look and sets it apart from you're standard stainless box. I switched over from a Snap-On box and I am picky to say the least. I think this is the best made Craftsman box that is not in the Pro lineup. It is the only box which the top is as deep as the bottom roll cab. 5+ stars to Craftsman for this box! I can't wait till they come out with a matching side locker!

IT RUSTS!
I have light, powdery surface rust over much of the box. I also have had the ball bearings fall out. I have had the plastic Griplatch "keepers" that limit the slide of the drawer (so that it won't fall out) break. Some of the drawers are hard to pull out and they stick.
It looks cool but it's not very well made and not durable. Same thing goes for the #10600 box that sits underneath.

Best box for the money!!
This tool box is utilized in my commercial work vehicle and has surpassed all expectations. The best feature is the griplatch!! This allows you to open the drawer without opening the top which is exactly how every other box I have encountered needs to happen before you can open any of the other drawers. Another nice aspect of the drawer system in a commercial vehicle is that even when I do something in error like leaving the top open the drawers stay closed. I have to say in closing "Best bang for the buck!!"

5 Drawer tool chest
The unit was bent on 2 corners indicating it had been dropped. Strangely, the 2 bent corners were on opposite ends of the chest. I spoke with a salesperson and explained my disappointment and her response was "I'm sorry, you should have brought it back". Obviously, she did not have a clue about how heavy this box was, how cumbersome it was, or how difficult it would be for 1 person to remove the box from atop the bottom chest. I explained these difficulties to her, noting that I was able to mount the box only with the help of my son who was visiting for Christmas, and that there was no one in my household who could help me remove the box for return and again her response was "I'm sorry". Other than the appearance, the box is fine and works as designed.

I did some research prior to this purchase and am very pleased with my purchase, no "buyers remorse." I set this up with most of the tools in my three tool boxes and got rid of all but one tool box. My wife is very happy and it inspired her to organize and paint the entire garage! Excellent product which I would highly recommend!

Made in Taiwan, inspected by no one , Check it before you leave the store
First off I want to tell you this is a very well-constructed chest/box very sturdy and the wheels are not cheap like others have been posting, I have about the max weight of tools is this combo and it moves around with ease no problems with wheels that look like they are about to fall off or bend. The drawers do work better (grip-latch) with the added weight of tools in them as others have posted. That all said, I had to return the top chest once for flaws in the finish looks like it was clear coated and the first box had a number of drips, runs and missed spots on it otherwise totally functional (if they would have given me a discount I would have keep the first one) the second box I picked up was perfect no problems with it. The chest (bottom cabinet) well that was a totally different story, chest #1 was perfect except the bottom three rows of drawers did not grip-latch at all nor did the key lock so I loaded it back and returned it, picked up #2 and it worked perfectly except it was all dented and banged up (again for the price it better be perfect or give me a big discount), so I loaded it back up and returned it #3 was perfect except for 1 dent on the back of one of the side rails (again no offer of a discount) none the less my back hurts from lifting this thing, I?m going to talk with the manager about getting a discount before I return this one. For about $1000.00 it should be perfect
