Craftsman circular saw is an excellent value March 31, 2011
I bought this saw to replace my Craftsman saw that I'd had for several years and destroyed. I was happy with the previous saw and decided to buy another Craftsman. So far, I am happy with my purchase. I love the LED light that comes on as soon as it is plugged in because it gives me a visual telltale when I forget to unplug it when I'm finished. The quick adjust depth handle seems flimsy but it has worked fine.

Not sturdy August 23, 2010
I bought this March 2009. Used It on 1 small project. I went to use it today and saw that the front handle was cracked. I tugged on it and it broke. Sears Hardware would send it out for $29.99, but I said no. I ordered a replacement handle, costing approx $15 with shipping. This saw replaced a 30 year old B & D saw. Cracking of the handle is a safety issue. I would not buy this one again.

Craftsman 10871 13amp corded 7 1/4 circular saw December 28, 2011

The Craftsman 13 amp Circular saw blows the dust away from the cut making it easier to follow the line. It has good power for my home project needs. The laser is not accurate for long distance it hits the right spot close to the saw but can not be lined up for longer distances.
