Work Horse of a Battery February 15, 2011
I have the NiCad batteries and for my business they were not cutting it. I had many of the cordless tool's with the C3 Battery and didn't want to go to a different brand to get better batteries. Then I saw the lithium-ion battery. I figured I'd buy one with the charger. I was impressed by the torque of the drill and the charge life of the battery! It make my tools a work horse now. I use it every day and install Deadbolts with 2-1/8 Auger bit, I can install 3 or more without a charge (very heavy use). So I never bought an extra battery, because this one works so well. I have had it for 6 months, I only have to charge average, once a week, under everyday average use!

Lithium Ion battery and charger CS0917 & CS0919 January 31, 2011
I have had two sets of lithium ion batteries of the 19.2 volt variety along with a new charger. The batteries work great two times and then failed to charge. Sears has failed to make good on the premature failed batteries as of yet and beware the warranty is only 90 days.. At 95 days from original purchase Sears chose to not replace the product!

Cons:
quality control of battery.,Short Warranty on batteryI have bought two of these batteries and both are junk. I had one last a month of light use and another last about a year of very light use. Better to buy a Harbor Freight for that much use.

Lithium-Ion far exceeds Ni-Cad September 19, 2011

Pros:
Charge is good,Handy Charge Indicator,Battery fuel gaugeI have both the thin version and fat version of this battery. I prefer the fat version of this battery as it lasts longer than the skinny version with almost double the amp hours.
People have indicated problems with this battery holding a charge, but I have not experience this, but I also swap out the battery when it indicates it needs a charge and I don't push its limits. Because of the thermal/voltage regulator the battery will stop working at some point. If you wait a few seconds you will be able to get it to work again, but don't. The thermal/voltage regulator is there to help prevent you from over discharging it, but if you press beyond it then who's fault is it when it won't hold a charge.
I have used it regularly on my reciprocating saw, circular trim saw, drill/screw driver and jig saw. I find it has more power than the ni-cads running longer and stronger.
