    Very Useful Product! March 26, 2011

    This auto hammer won't build a house but is very handy for those hard to reach spots. It is great to have around the house and I have a feeling we'll find a lot of uses for the hammer. We have used it to help install baseboards on the wall. It worked well in the tight spots where you just can't swing a hammer. The hammer isn't overly powerful and you do have to be careful when the hammer reaches the wall or the item you are nailing the nail into. I purchased it when it was on sale for $75.99 at my local Sears. That was the lowest price I saw it at and decided to purchase the hammer. I have been very happy with the purchase. I also have the Craftsman NEXTEC drill that uses the same battery. They interchange and make it easy to share the batteries. The hammer is light weight and great for what it is intended to do. A lot of the reviews I have seen on this product expect too much from this hammer. The jobs that they were hoping this could handle should be for a nail gun. This still won't completely replace a regular hammer. This hammer won't drive real long nails. I do think the hammer is a little too expensive. The price point for this item should be around $60 in my opinion. I still say go for it, you will be satisfied. This is a great tool for the man or woman that has almost every tool they need.

    Just didn't work... January 17, 2011

    I bought this for my dad for christmas. He is a carpenter by trade and is always wanting tools, which I know nothing about. I saw this on TV nearly a year ago and thought hey... that is something that my dad wouldn't have but might actually have some use for. However, when he took it out to his shop to test it out, it didn't drive one nail for him. It bent every nail he attempted. He came back in and said... "No hard feelings, but get your money back." So, that is exactly what I did. He did how ever really like the mini crow bar that came with it. It is a great idea in theory, but not in application.

    Did at least a two hour roof project and battery lasted the duration. Probably drove in at least 100 nails. Only problem is that the product has problems with finishing nails without a substantial head on them. It seems as if an attachment could be made for these.

    This tool does great in tight places. I even used it to chip concrete with a chisel where I couldn't swing a hammer. I didn't over torque the unit and the battery continues to last the entire job without losing power. The free drill I got with it was a great bonus as well. I use it to scare my dad by hammering his leg when he's not paying attention and it's a great way to stay in shape.
