Craftsman 4 drawer tool chest--Very Nice December 14, 2010
So my husband had asked me to get him a tool box for Christmas, and instead of just a plastic box, I decided to get him this. It's bigger than I thought it would be, and metal, the drawers are sturdy, spacious, and the top part is big enough to fit his drill. It seems to be well built, even though we haven't fully put it to the test yet. I actually thought about getting another one to put in the shed for yard related tools also. I am highly impressed by the quality of this item.

Good price for lower end toolbox November 03, 2010
I purchased this because of the price, $49.99, and probably got what I paid for. It's a decent tool chest for small or low profile tools but is not the highest quality. It is sturdy and easy to carry with integrated handles but the drawer slides and locking bar leave something to be desired.
I was disappointed with the locking mechanism for the drawers as I feel the Product Description was misleading. The key lock in the picture is for the top lid ONLY. The drawers are secured by a bar that slides down through the top and bottom and sits in front of them. You have to unlock with the key, lift the top lid, slide out the bar, then access the drawers. It is simple and effective but not as easy as a single key lock for all the drawers like what is available in the more expensive models.

The drawers do not slide easily and are cumbersome. I immediately returned the chest without any issues - as is the case with all craftsman purchases. The box is priced right for what you get - but only get this box is you are a true beginner. If not spend a couple more dollars for a better craftsman tool box.
