The Craftsman 3 gallon compressor is light compact and handy May 05, 2011
I needed an air compressor for around the house chores, including remodeling the house I live in. We are replacing doors, replacing trim boards, and building new spaces within the floorplan. This compressor is perfect. I only run one nail gun at a time so it has the capability to run it with ease, and the adjustable output is great for the different guns I own. Plus having a yard tractor and trailer I always need to add air to the tires depending on the season so this compact compressor fits the bill.

Poor quality January 03, 2011
I received one for Christmas and once I set it up and ran it I could hear air leaking. I found the air leaking from the weld seam in the tank. I returned it to Sears and they replaced it. The second one once I set it up and ran it, it leaked air from the safety valve as soon as the compressor starting building up pressure. I returned it and they offered to replace it, but I said no thanks. What surprised me most was that the Sears Associate marked them with a closeout/used sticker like they were going to put them on the floor again.

does not last longbought it about 3 years ago, used it rarely, for tires ( about 4 hours total). Now it will not reach above 30 pounds pressure. Useless.

Can't think of a conI was looking for an Air Compressor for light duty 'do-it-yourself' projects. Also, I enjoy small wood working projects, model cars, and etc., and I can set the spray volume down to accommodate painting, or up for bigger outside patio furniture. The first day out of the box on a cold rainy night the low pressure tire light indicator came on in the car. Needless to say the comfort of the garage sure beat going out and hunting to 'pay' for air. Our next project is laying wood flooring and this compressor is more than adequate for nail gun. In fact I am so impressed with the quality of the Craftsman 3 gallon Compressor I bought one for my son-in-law's birthday!
