Earlex HVLP Spray Station Well Worth the Money! November 18, 2010

Pros:
Great PriceI recently purchased the Earlex 5000 HVLP Spray Station and have been totally pleased with the product. Compared to other much higher priced sprayers, this product works great. I've spreayed latex paint as well as lacquer with good results from both.

I ordered the earlex after seeing reviews on other websites such as the woodwhisperer and decided to look into it. I am pleased with its performance and it has handled everything from primer onto walls to lacquers onto furniture. Clean up is easy and simple and I have been using thinned latex paints and varnishes with ease.
I will say when I first got the unit it leaked from the feed tube area and was a mess but one call to the cust service group I was sent a new part and haven't had an issue since. I highly recommend it

Great sprayer for the money! June 14, 2008

I used this to spray an oil based polyurethane semi gloss on a white oak love seat with excellent results. I reduced the polyurethane by 10% to a viscosity of 60 and got a great finish with no runs on the vertical. I also used the optional 2.5 mm needle kit due to the thickness of the polyurethane. Very Important! Practice spraying on some cardboard or scrap lumber to adjust the proper spray volume and use very good lighting so you can see how the paint is applying to the project. The manual is well written. I would highly recommend this sprayer for a small home shop or hobbyist.
