Price was so good it almost becomes disposable. February 14, 2011
This replaced a similar aging Craftsman vacuum. It performed flawlessly for 15 years until I heard the motor throw a part (cooling fan blade). I was in the market for a new one and this fit the bill perfectly. Made the mistake of going to a full-line Sears store and discovered it was only on sale at one the new "Neighborhood Sears" franchises. So I went out of my way to make the purchase, but discovered a new type of Sears in the process.

Not bad for the price. Nothing special. April 03, 2011
Got it on sale for about 20 bucks. Not bad for the price.
I wanted something small that I could hook up to my router table.
It's better than not having a vac attached to the table, but nothing special--it lacks power, which I reckon is to be expected for something that was so inexpensive.
I have an older heavy duty Craftsman shop vac that is REALLY bulky, but that has loads of power (my old big one you could practically pick up a bowling ball with it!!).
Anyway, the hose and fittings are not very sturdy, and I can see how the pressure fitting will loosen up and not fit as well after a couple of uses, but again, I've got plenty of duck tape, and like I said you get what you pay for. I didn't want to spend a ton of money for something I'm not going to use much, so I got what I paid for.
Was originally going to get the Craftsman 100 dollar compact shop vac that hangs on the wall, but they didn't have any in stock when I went into the store.
This small model comes with a few additionally fittings, but they're a little flimsy. Would be nice is Sears made something that size with more HP and better fitting (I wouldn't mind paying a little more for that.)
One a positive note, it is light weight and easy to carry since the handle is built right in.
I'd rate it between a 3.5 and a 4, mainly because of the cheap price.

Filter is flimsy.I was given this shop vac as a gift. I use it to clean up the messes the kids and I do not want the wife to find out about. Recently the kids busted our 40 gallon aquarium, we were able to get the glass and water up in a matter of minutes and were able to save the fish as well. Had to stop to dump the contents several times. I have used on glass, woodshavings, grass, and as touch up in my car. It is a life saver!

NoneI purchased this vacuum to be our heavy duty lightweight vacuum. We use it to clean out our cars, clean up after a hair cut and whatever else we need. It is strong enough to pick up the bigger household messes yet still very lightweight.
