Crafstsman 17765 shop vac
About 4 years ago, we bought this model shop vac for garage/outside use. We use it exclusively for anything from simply blowing leaves out of the garage, to vaccuming the cars out. My Father uses it to blow the water off his 05 Harley after a wash.
2 years ago, we bought a split level home and it needed some TLC. We completely gutted the place down to the concrete slab and remodeled it. The vaccum saw alot of heavy and grungy use and it never missed a beat.
This vaccum overall has been an excellent tool. It has never let us down and has been very cost effective. I don't know how we lived without one in the first place. If anyone plans on doing some remodeling or simply using it as a small clean up tool, I highly reccommend this vaccum in all respects.

Shop Vacuum
Three major faults with this Vacuum/Blower
1. Hose constantly and very easily pops of both the blower and vacuum ports. NOT a positive lock on. It doesn't take much for this to happen, a slight tug will do! Duct tape not provided
2. No pre filter available for the vacuum filter
3. Cost for a paper filter replacementt is ridicously expensive
Havving said this, I would not recommend this vacuum or anySears/Craftsman Vacuum with similar features

Lousy hose makes this a "no-buy"
While the vacuum has adequate suction and otherwise performs well, the fact that hose keeps coming off and is rather stiff and inflexible makes this an extremely difficult and frustrating tool to use. Definitely not recommended . . . unless you want to irk the heck out of someone.

Got us dryed out
We had water in our basement from the recent rains. We bought this wet/dry vac to help us get it out. Worked great out of the box and had no issue after sucking out 20-25 full loads of water. Have not needed to use it since but so far we are pleased with the performance.
I would recommend this product to a friend.

Great for big jobs, not so much on detailing your car
Man does this thing have suction! I'll give it that. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because the crevice tool was not included and had to be bought seperately. The crevice tool for this 2.5 inch hose vac is almost as thick as those at car washes so it doesn't fit in the "crevice" between the door jambs and your bucket seat. You've been warned LOL. But for other jobs, I can see this being a top performer.
