This Craftsman wet-dry vac has a 12 gallon tank paired with a 5.0 peak horsepower motor, making it an excellent choice for home improvement, garage and workshop use. Powerful 5.0 peak horsepower motor and large 2-1/2" diameter hose and attachments can handle larger messes quicker and easier than less powerful vacs with smaller hoses. 12 gallon tank includes convenient drain port, making it easier to empty the vac of wet messes when the job is complete. Vac quickly converts into a 160MPH blower when you insert hose into rear exhaust port. Includes vac, 2-1/2" x 7' Pos-I-Lock hose, 2 extension wands, utility nozzle, car nozzle, wet nozzle, and #17816 standard pleated paper filter.

    The Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac has been an absolute work horse. April 06, 2011

    The Craftsman Wet/Dry Vac has been an absolute work horse for us. It has sucked better than any other vacuum that we have ever owned. The work it has done for us cannot compare to any other. It has been that good. As soon as you turn it on you can hear and feel the power in the Vac. The multiple accessories make it a priceless tool. It can be used for either the common household or auto or boat or even the in my business as a construction worker. It has been such a blessing to us that we actually bought a second one so that we always have one readily available. My father also loves the Wet/Dry Vac and often borrows ours. I highly recommend it to anyone and everyone who gets water in their basement or even the smallest jobs. My only regret about this Vac is that the cartridge filters are so expensive to replace. I often request them for a Christmas present. But, everything else has been absolutely fantastic.

    Odd size hose, very few attachments will work January 21, 2011

    Craftsman is a good brand, I would recommend the shop vac with 2-1/8" hose. The 1-7/8" hose is a very odd size with attachment limitations. I returned this vac and paid $10 more for the 17769 which comes with more attachments/longer electrical cord/and the 2-1/8" hose-which has many options for attachments. This product will not allow you to store the attachments in the top compartments...even those are for 2-1/8" attachments. Not sure why this model is offered.

    I bought this little gem for a new vacation home and it has never failed to do the job I expected of it and more. The shed of this mountain cabin was well covered by mouse droppings and worse. You may know these droppings present a health hazard. I bought the accessory exhaust muffler and several lengths of extra hose, placed the vac outside the shed and went about cleaning up the mess. I was amazed at the suction power of this unit, especially with the extra hose sections installed. The front porch of my cabin was coated a solid yellow from all the pine pollen this wierd Spring weather has caused the trees to produce. I decided to try blowing it off rather than vacuuming it up. Again, I was amazed at the power! It got all the pollen out of the tiny cracks that weathered porch flooring has in no time flat. I might also mention that the long power cable is a definate asset to the flexibility of this vac. No searching for extension cords to reach an outlet. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase and am sure it will stand the test of time I expect fromall my Craftsman products.

    I bought this vacuum after looking at some other models that were basically the same capacity. this one had a better look and feel to it and came with some very nice accessories. It is vary powerful and has outstanding suction. One of the drawbacks I found is it does not come with bags or the brush tool. But overall it is a good buy and should last me for more than a few years.
