Craftsman  16 Gallon Stainless Wet/Dry Vac

The Craftsman Professional 16 Gallon Stainless Wet/Dry Vac does the job for me. The large wheels prevent the vac from tipping over anf the locking hose allows me to pull it without the hose coming out.

I especially like the handle and tool caddy, which make finding my attachments quick and easy. The stainless steel drum is sturdy and will last for many years to come. I especially like the new way the filters attach to the filter cage, nice toolless changes and I will not have a filter nut to lose.

The motor is quieter than other Wet/Dry Vacs that I have owned.

Was a little awkward, tapping the axle caps on. Everything else, regarding assembly, was a snap. Wish there were more metal and less plastic parts. But, having a stainless container makes cleaning very easy. It's pretty easy to lift the vac, despite its size. Sucks up water quickly. Does a good job during dry vac operations as well. The only gripe I have is that Sears doesn't sell a accessory in the way of a drain cap replacement that has a threaded means for attaching a garden hose, in case you want to drain liquid through a hose instead of taking the stock drain cap off only. I don't need the drain pump accessory...just need the cap that you can connect a garden hose to. Rigid makes the same vac under the Rigid brand. It appears that they make the same vac for Sears, under the Craftsman name. So, I was able to order the drain cap with the hose attachment from Rigid, as Rigid does sell one. The vac hose is also a good quality hose. Just wish it was a little longer.

after purchasing vacuums for half this price over and over we finally decided to just spend the money... assembly took about 15 minutes.... we own a commercial wholesale detail supply company and this vacuum REALLY works !

and another for my workshop.

It is hard to find quality these days, and I did a lot of research before buying. I am pleased with it so far. Wish it offered a bag option for dry use. The hose is exellent quality compared to others.Most others offer much better warranty periods, but you may need the longer warranty due to the way they are made. I was shocked at the hose latch (cheesy plastic tab ) that holds the hose from pulling out of the vac. SUGGESTIONS FOR MORE SALES; Better warranty, re-design hose latch and add more detail to the site, like cord length, hose length. I really like it ! I am a very fussy consumer. I do a lot of research before buying anything

I have this Steel Tank (Ridgid) vac & its the most POWERFUL vac I've ever owned. It has twice the power of all other shop vacs, even Craftsman & Ridgid domestic vacs can't touch; not even my detach blower vac (Ridgid) can suck that fast like this pro vac can. Its amazing Ridgid makes these vacs for Craftsman (I own both versions) but warranty should be lifetime for Craftsman like the Ridgid. The only problems are is the vac is too loud & the filter ripped in 1/2 when I washed it (GET CLEANSTREAM HEPA filter & bags) Other than that this vac REALLY got my house & cars clean; I had stopped drain & instead of using "snake" or "Liquid Plumber" I used this vac & it does LOTS better than the 'snake' or dangerous chemicls that can ruin pipes. U won't need any other vac; not even paying too much $ to door/door sales rep for a vac that's only 1/2 as powerful as this vac & can't pick up wet stuff. HIGLY RECOMMEND THIS VAC!
