The Unsung Hero Of My Garage April 11, 2011
This vacuum cleaner has had residence in my garage for over four years, and it has survived pretty much everything that I've thrown at it. Whether it be chopped up drywall, dust, cigarette butts, nails and dust, leaves that have blown in, or cleaning out my car... This little vacuum cleaner does the trick.
I did have to go and buy accessories, because the accessories that come with the vacuum cleaner really aren't that good. Not that they're bad, but there are better accessories that are available. For instance, when you go to a self cleaning car wash, there are always those great nozzles on the end of the industrial sized vacuum cleaners that make vacuuming your car a breeze. There are smaller versions available and that fit on this vacuum cleaner, and now I don't feel like I'm missing anything when I don't pay two dollars to vacuum my car out.
Mounting the unit on the wall was also a little bit difficult, since I wasn't able to get two studs in the right amount of spacing for the vacuum holder wall mounts. I was able to get one in the studs, which has been enough for several years but it leaves one side rickety, and drywall fasteners didn't help for very long. I'm sure most people could probably do a better job than me in this regard.
The best feature is that I don't have a vacuum cleaner on the floor. What's nice about this unit is that I can mount it on the wall, and pick it up and take it with me and then put it back on the wall. The convenience factor of not having another tool on the floor my garage is a huge bonus. I would definitely recommend this to the average homeowner, and even the typical weekend warrior in the garage will always find a use for this vacuum cleaner.

Filter connection needs serious work! October 18, 2010
I was excited to have a wall mountable vacuum with decent volume. My excitement ended very quickly.
Without question my biggest problem with this vacuum is how the filter is removed. The filter is has a soft, rubber bottom with a hole that pops into place over a nub on the bottom of the main frame. When taking off the filter, one has to pop the rubber bottom off of the nub in order to remove it. When doing this dust flies everywhere. You simply cannot remove the filter without making a big mess.
The long cord is great until you realize that you would be much better off taking the entire vacuum outside to empty and remove the filter.
Also, the hose to too big for the power of this vacuum. It takes no time at all for the filter to clog enough for the suction to be noticeably reduced.
The filter connection system is simply one of the worst designs I've seen recently. Until Sears redesigns this I will never buy a shop vacuum from them again.

Pros:
Good Suction,hangs on wall,long cordOverall this is a storng lil unit. Stong suction for unit size. Good at cleaning vehicle carpets and minor shop use. Does well at moisture extraction when wet cleaning car carpets or spot treating home carpets. Very useful unit for families with small children, pet owners or vehicle detailers. Could use some small mods like moving exhust vent to top or side and better moisture barrier for motor or use of less less corrosive motor components. Nice long cord but cord storage needs improvement.
