First Miter Saw - great purchase
This is my first saw purchase as I have recently purchased my first home. I was a little nervous as I'm not too familiar with power tools. This saw was easy to use, effective, and served the purpose I needed it for. And of course, it's always great to have the craftsman guarantee!

Faulty design
we purchased 2 of this from a jig vendor, (new)
we cut 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" x 1/8' PVC angle on a stationary table and jig at 45 deg. the handle
broke on one of the saws, ( plastic, faulty design )

Bought it cuz my 12" slider is often too big. This saw is what I paid for. I like the LED, but, the switch is hard to find and easy to forget, hence, will drain your battery.

This is a very good saw for the price. It is more of a light duty saw but can handle larger boards when needed. The lazer is a nice feature and a high quality carbide blade is nice also. The dust bag is pretty worthless but a good attempt to keeping things kind of clean.

Much better than doing it by hand
This is the first power Miter saw I've used. (I have a Radial arm saw and have used table saws and power circular saws.) We bought this at Black Friday, so it was cheap. The laser isn't as helpful as I thought it would be. The laser is very thin, the blade is thicker, so you have to figure out which side of the laser the blade is going to come down on, or your cuts will be short or long. Otherwise, it does what it does!
