    Mighty Little Saw! March 10, 2011

    I picked this up to aid in helping with making 90 degree cuts for my workbench I am building. I do wish sometimes that I went with a 12" saw, but for the money, this can't be beat! It has never bogged down at all while cutting. The only drawback I find so far is that the bag for dust collection does not work very well and there is a lot of cleanup afterwards. No biggie if you are in a woodshop though! The laser line feature is great, however I wish it worked off of the electricity, and not AA batteries. This is my first miter saw, and so far I've been extremely pleased with it.

    Cheaply made. Waste of money. March 19, 2010

    My husband purchased this saw from Sears and used it a handful of times and just like the previous customers, the handle broke.  It is held on by plastic!  Who in their right mind would make a saw with a flimsy plastic handle.  You would think they would remedy the problem after all the complaints.  Now I have to go and purchase a new saw to finish the project that we started.  Come on Sears, stand behind your made in china product and be good to your faithful customers.

    I do alot of remodeling and I bought this to replace the Delta I had that was giving me issues with squareness of the cut. This saw weights about 1/2 of what the delta weighed and has a laser light on it to make cutting easier. It mounted to my Delta stand with no problems and has built on clamps to hold your work. Love it

    For starters, on first time use a small fragment of wood shot from the blade and broke the laser light. After a few months of use, with really only about 10 hours of run time the engine windings I believe started to go. The saw is still working, but I am reluctant to use it. It's incredibly loud, has lost most it's power and vibrates when running. The dust collection bag is not very effective, but I didn't find this too much of an issue. I'm rather dissapointed in the quality and durability of this item. I've also used alot of Dewalt saws when working constuction and am not a fan. I'll have to keep looking for a saw that can meet my non-demanding standards.

    This item works beautifully and is easy to set up. A little small for my application, cutting 4x4's in one pass but that was my choice as it stated it in the information. Only issue, was the vacuum was suspect at best, it didn't seem to pick up at all. As it works as it should in all other aspects, I recommend you simply make your cuts in an area that is easily sweepable. Other than that, in my world, minor flaw, this saw was awesome.

    I am impressed with this saw, it cuts perfect angles. I use this saw for building decks, toy boxes, shelves, and other wood products, and it is capable of handling the job. This is just a hobby for me since I am retired, but I am extremely pleased with this saw's performance.
