DeWalt  12 In. Double-Bevel Compound Miter Saw

Fantastic saw! I bought this to do crown molding which worked great! I changed out the blade and now use it for cutting metal tubing. Great all around saw.

My husband has been busy building latey and I overheard him say he wanted to buy another compound miter saw. I pay attention to what he uses that helps when holidays or a birthday rolls around. I went into my favorite store, Sears, and roamed the tool dept. What I love about Sears, there is always someone to help you. I saw this Dewalt 15 amp heavy duty compund miter saw and decided to purchase it.

He has other miter saws but I knew he would want to add this to his tools. He used it a few days ago to finish a project he was building, the job was completed and when I last saw him he was cleaning off his miter saw.

I know I cannot go wrong in the tool dept. Sears is the only place to purchase tools in my opinion. Why spend money somewhere else only to bring it back and go through a hassle, Sears, No Problems, thanks again Sears for putting a smile on my husbands face, he is extremely pickly when it comes to tools as most professionals are. Well done, this Dewalt 15 amp. Compound miter saw is without a doubt rough and tough, I recommend this to every serious hard working builder.

My husband wanted to upgrade and this was his pick.  He loves it and I love it, too.  I'm able to set this saw up and use it to do crown molding and trim all by myself (but he usually wants to use it).  Miters are no problem and it operates pretty smoothly.

Bought this saw back on black friday of this year. Was out and about buying gifts for others so this was my gift to myself. I bought the saw for a project I am working on. I am making a custom bench almost completely out of old skies with pressure treated wood as the base structure. This saw not only can fit the wood blades but also metal cutting blades. It cut both the skies and wood like butter. The cut was true and the blade did not "walk".

I also bought the laser guide for the saw. It was a little tricky to align the 1st time but after that it is an amazing add on that I highly recommend.

I also did my living room with a complete set of crown, door and floor moldings. This saw was perfect for it because of the flexibility of the "dual bevel" rather then having to flip the moldings and re calculate angles as you would have to do with a single bevel saw. The preset angles of 31.62 were exactly what I needed for my crown moldings.

2 other features I really like on this saw are: 1) It can cut angles up to 50deg where most other saw only go up to 45deg. 2) The handle is very easy to grip and there is no stupid safety lock / switch you have to push in before you can use the saw, to me those safeties are a pain in the you know what.

Overall I am VERY happy with my purchase and think dewalt makes a solid product. They are somewhat more pricey then other brands but if you use your tools a lot like I do it is definitely worth it in the end to spend a little more.

No much I can say that hasn't been said. During the time that I have had it the jobs have shifted from cutting treated lumber to fine detailed trim all in one day. There is a clear focus on fine detals, quailty and a unit that is user friendly. Very pleased with this saw.

I haven't used my saw much yet but am very pleased with it over my 10" miter saw. With the jig you can make it extends the width of cuts dramatically. Am not sure about the standard blade and may replace it soon. Very functional and durable saw, it is significantly heavier than my Makita 10" but seems more durable. No complaints about the Makita but the Dewalt is more capable. Got a great deal at Sears on this saw- just watch sales!

I got a new blade so I could make clean cuts when mitering trim. I re-did all of the trim in one room, and now I'm going on to the next. It's a great tool. The trim doesn't splinter at all with my new blade. The fence slides out of the way for bevels. It's highly accurate, which is important, when you're doing trim. I would highly recommend this tool.

Worth the extra few bucks over the single bevel, and far less expensive than the sliding model that most of us really don't need. This saw made quick work of the moulding project that would have taken far to long to cut with the cheap hand saw miter box. Now I find myself looking for more projects since this is a dream to use. This saw works best when used with the Dewalt miter saw stand that is not sold by Sears for some odd reason.
