I purchased the 3 peice combo kit and then added this to it so I would have a well rounded set to work with. This saw is really good for a battery operated one and cuts with lots of power and has no problem with the right blade cutting through any steel or even doing demo. work with a 14" long blade of cutting through anything. I am used to using a Milwaukee Super Sawsall and it weights in at 11 pounds and the craftsman pro is 8.9 including battery so I have no idea what the last poster was refering to. This saw is a joy to use after lugging that big Milwaukee around all day. Sure there is no way to compare the Milwaukee to a cordless one but I use my Pro all the time and it actually keeps surpriseing me at what it can do. All I can say is with my job I expect the best from my tools or I leave them home and so far my combo kit along with this saw go every where with me and there is not much that stops any of them and the battery power gives them lots of power but once that battery shows it getting low toss in a flesh one and your ready to go again. Some posted have complained about problems with their battery tools but I have found regardless of the brand it happens and I expect it will will with the craftsman I have also. I do all the time with my other brands of power corded and battery tools whether Makita-Dewalt - Mil. - and yes I am waiting for the Craftsman to take its turn but when using these tools day in and day out something going to break it seems. I was a bit hessitate about purchaseing the craftsman Pro tools but after 4 months I am really surprised and what you get for the price. One more thing from looking at the Pro tools they just might be made my Milwa- tools interesting if so.........even me...cheers

The first thing I noticed about this saw was that it looked good and had some good features. The next thing I did was pick it up and add the battery pack. I'm 6'2" and 250lbs. I don't need a saw proportionate to my size and weight. I can't see using this saw any lenght of time at any height level. I've worked constuction over twenty years before retiring and used a reciprocation most of those years. Having received this saw as a Christmas gift, I returned it.

a DIYerBought the saw to go with my matching drill-saw-light kit and impact wrench. Uses the same batteries as the other red 20-volt lithium tools. The saw has a bit of weight to it, but with that weight comes power. I used one fully charged battery and was able to do about 20 minutes of cutting (removed some shrubs and some aluminum fencing) and it showed no signs of getting weaker. Has two little LED headlamps on it, (add to the l337 factor) and it overall is a good tool.
a DIYerI have bought a lot of nice tools from Sears over the last 35 years but this is not one of them. The first one I bought needed a new battery after six or seven months and it took six months to get one, then the inside came apart but then it was out of warranty so i bought another one.Now the blade will not stay in long enough to cut a 2 inch piece of exhaust pipe
This saw is great easy to use ,powerful to do any demo. Used it to cut limbs after Hurricane IKE, Battery lasted long time.
