Outstanding tool set January 18, 2011

This is, without a doubt, the best set of cordless tools I have ever used. I have had this set for six months and it hasn't let me down AT ALL. In 1998, I purchased a DeWalt 18-Volt cordless drill. It was great. I was so happy with it that I purchased another after 5 years of heavy use. The second DeWalt was horrible. I cannot put into words my level of disappointment with DeWalt. I then purchased a 19.2-Volt Craftsman set. It was not incredible, but it was worth what I paid for it. I needed another drill for a series of projects. We installed two decks and sided the house. I was inclined toward another 19.2 Craftsman set, but saw the 20 volt set and purchased it because of the Lithium Battery benefits. My happiness with this 20-Volt drill cannot be expressed well enough. The circular saw is a real circular saw (not a trim saw). The circular saw is great. It will not replace my corded circular saw, but I haven't had a single problem with it. It cut through treated 2X4s and treated 2X6s with ease. 3/4 inch plywood is no problem. I didn't try to cut 4X4s with it is as I use my miter saw for that. However, the circular saw seems to spin rather slowly. Although this doesn't seem to cause a problem, it just seems really slow. The flashlight isn't SUPER bright, but it is really good and has become my go-to light for most situations requiring a flashlight. The LEDs seem to never drain the battery. The tool bag that came with the set is perfect. Absolutely no complaints. Two notes: as with other reviewers, one of my batteries just doesn't seem right. If I drain it all the way, it will indicate that it is a faulty battery. I am afraid that this particular battery may cause me problems in the future. This one battery problem does not keep me from loving the set, though. Also, I got my set on sale for about $200. I don't know if I would be as happy with it if I paid $400. I think $300 is fair, but I am very happy with the $200 I paid for it. I'll never buy another DeWalt.

Batteries went bad after 11 months, should last longer. December 07, 2009

I bought the 20 volt combo kit for my dad and the batteries went bad after 8 months. I took them to Sears and they told me they're not covered under the warranty and I would have to buy new ones.  I think they should have lasted longer and they cost $89.00 each to replace. My dad now has tools he can't use and I'm embarrassed that I didn't get him something that would hold up better than these tools.  I thought Craftsman tools would be better than this.

The Craftsman 20 volt Lithium drill is worth the money. February 10, 2012
      By hoaglund8 of Minot, ND
      Pros:
maintains a full charge to the very end

I bought the Craftsman 20 volt Lithium Drill and Saw combo for my husband for his birthday.  We are in the process of remodeling the house afte a flood and all he ever complained about was the drill losing power and always having to recharge it.  The Lithium Drill allows he to use it longer and it maintains full power until the end of the battery.  He loves the light weight feeling of it and says the saw cuts like a dream.  I now plan on giving this same set to my son-in-law for his birthday.

      Pros:
Lithium Ion Battery Technology,Heavy duty construction

I purchased this craftsman unit to replace a ni-cad unit  reports on Lithium ion batteries was very encouraging.  Every time I tried to use old ni-cad unit battery would be dead do not have problem with craftsman unit.  I have purchased impact driver and sawzall to go with unit have a complete set now which is great, one bag and every power tool I need is in hand.

I like to help other people in town so I always have tools in my truck to do things.  Have told other people about craftsman power tools, which I first starting using when we Purchased or house in 1968 have done many projects in the years since.

      Cons:
      None

the ease of remodeling without cords getting in the way, really made my cutting and drilling so much easier. being an older female with little experience with tools, I found this set ideal and practical for restoring inside and out . thanks for a great combo that will endure many uses.

      Craftsman Professional 26325 20-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless July 22, 2011
      By AtiasMom of Eugene, OR
      Pros:
Lithium Ion Battery Technology,Heavy duty construction
      Cons:
      Discontinued????

I have been using mine for almost 4 years now. The 1st problem I had was one of the batteries wouldn't hold a charge (just a bad battery). I couldn't find my receipt, so Sears wouldn't replace it. Don't want to waste my battery on the flashlight. Really didn't need the flashlight and will probably get rid of it. Now, for the good stuff. I have used the saw and drill consistently for the past couple of years. Heavy, but has handled all the jobs I put it to. Including using the saw to trim the top of a new fence. The drill has been fanstasic. Enough power to drill and screw all the jobs. I really like the fact that the battery keeps its strenght until it runs out. That has really come in handy. The best sales pitch is a friend who occassionally helps me out and really thinks Craftsman is trash. Since, I have a purchased the Craftsman tools to meet my needs, he was stuck using them. For someone who doesn't like Craftsman, he sure likes to borrow mine when he can!!!! I understand this item is being discontinued. Does that mean we won't be able to get new batteries if needed?
