    Great Deal! April 05, 2011

    I have been looking for a good bit set to go along with my Craftsman drill/driver set and happened upon this browsing the tools in my local Sears. I bought it for $12.49 and it has plenty of bits plus the quick change adapter for which I also picked up a Craftsman 14 piece Black Oxide Hex shank drill bit set for under $30.00 total. I use them all the time. Great Deals and great quality with Craftsman!

    Handy accessory pack but fair quality. Not worth more than $10 November 22, 2011

    When I purchased this accessory pack, I thought it was a great deal at the sale price of $14.99 when in fact, even at that price I feel that I did not get a good value for my money.  Before purchasing this kit, I had been using the same phillips bit in my 19.2 Craftsman drill for the past 2 years.  In that time, the bit has now just started to become worn...so I thought that this would be a perfect time to replace it.  Sad to say, that the bits in this kit seem to be of such soft metal, I would be very surprised if this kit lasts much more than a few months.  Where my prevoius bit has allowed me to install over 400  3 1/2 inch screws through 2x6 boards and into 4 x 8 beams in the last month alone, these new bits are already becoming unuseable after driving only a couple dozen screws into similiar wood.  Additionally, you have a propensity to use the brass colored collar of the the 'speed-lok' quick connector to help guide the screw as you drive it but by not having any kind of spring lock the disconnector becomes easily disengaged frequently causing the bits to fall to the floor when you point the drill down.  The magnetic bit holder does not have a floating sleeve on the outside which would more easily allow you to hold use it as a guide while driving the screw or nut while driving it.

    If it weren't for the "Craftsman" name stamped on the product I would think this was just another cheap accessory item made in China and sold through your local discount store.

    Craftsman should be embarrased to have their name on this.

    I bought this set at the same time I bought my DeWalt coordless driving thinking it would go well with it. Several of the bit tips broke within the first few uses. The DeWalt set came with two small set (that I assumed would be cheap, which is why I bought the Craftsman set) and they have performed flawlessly ever since. I took this set back and was informed that their bits aren't covered under their warranty since they were designed to break down at some point. That was fine with me, but I would still expect them to last longer than a few uses.

    this is a pretty good kit with a reasonable price.my father in law bought this kit awhile back and seems to be real happy with it.what i like about craftsman...is the life long guarantee.i always hang on to my reciepts.i bought a craftsman leaf blower once and it had the bag attachment that you could attach to the leaf blower and it wouls suck up leaves.well i had an old boat that i was restoring and i used the leaf blower with the bag attachment on the floor of the boat.i sucked up bags of stuff..needless to say afterwords my craftsman leaf blower started making a funny sound.so after having for 9 or 10 months of use i found my original reciept and took my leaf blower back to sears and i replaced it free of charge...i would recomend craftsman tools from sears any day...thank you sears...curt from Upper Lake, Lake County,,calif..

    Well I bought 2 of them well they were on sale and they are handy to have easy to use and ready when you need them all in one hard case.I would recommend this to anybody who needs to do a project buy this item it will help out in a big way.
