  • NEW 6 variable speed control from 10,000-25,000 revolutions per minute (RPM). Great for routing into a variety of woods and plastics.
  • NEW For a more comprehensive understanding on speed control. Digital read out helps control material removal, simply match the speed to the bit. Screen Size is 1 X 1 1/2
  • Soft Start Motor Technology prevents router take off as the Craftsman motor slowly increases to its full capacity of 25,000 RPM allowing enough time tosecurely grip both handles of the router for superior feel and performance before engaging the router bit.
  • Allows for micro-height adjustments in 1/64-inch increments by simply turning the height adjustment knob. For rapid height adjustment of 1/2-inch or more simply push the button to by-pass the rack and pinion and 4-position depth stop turret can be adjusted from 1/4to 1/2-inch.
  • Electronic Feedback Control Ensures proper motor RPM for the bit size and the material being routed.
  • Aluminum Chassis Lightweight, yet provides strength, steel machined motor sleeve houses the mandrel and gearbox.
  • Provides a clear sight-line to the router bit and work surface from both the front or rear of the router. Chip deflector keeps the debris contained and away from the operator. Can be attached to a 1 1/4-inch vacuum adaptor.
  • Ergonomically designed handles reduce vibration and user fatigue while providing a superior grip and feel at virtually any position.
  • Provides a level platform to properly secure and level the appropriate router sub-base. Clear router sub-bases are designed to help illuminate the work area as well as for proper debris extraction. Router sub-base will also accept threaded router bushings.
  • Spring loaded spindle lock is located in the front of the router for easy removal of the router bit or router colletwith the use of one wrench.
  • Buckle latch allows for fast and easy motor pack removal for bit and base changes.

    I just got my router and was dimayed to see it is only 2hp not 2.25hp as advertised. That .25hp makes a big difference in what I do with the router. I'm going to give it a go anyhow because the job won't wait.

    Solid,Balance and construction

    Have no idea how it works as it was stolen two days after I recieved so some thief must have been impressed also! Just handling it and looking at it makes up my mind that I ordering another just the same

    Pros:
    Solid

    Replaced an older router with this model. Would have preferred both plunge and fixed base but this is the model that was available. Speed control is nice, and so is the soft start. The only negative I have found so far is the packaging which was minimal with many free parts roaming loose in the box.
