Super drill with lots of torque. A little heavy, but worth it. June 06, 2010
Awesome drill with lots of power/torque! I had an older craftsman professional drill that lasted 10 years before the batteries quit. I replaced it with this one and love it. Although, after 3 years I have had one battery go bad and won't charge. The only two negatives I have are the weight and the fact that the LED light doesn't come on until the chuck is spinning. It would be nicer if the light would come on before the chuck turned so you can see what you're doing before you do it. All-in-all, I love the drill.
I definitely recommend the Craftsman Professional series over the homeowner line. The Professional tools are worth the money. The basic tools are a joke.

pathetic cordless October 16, 2008
want to complain about the misleading ad on this saw and drill. I bought it because of the movie add in the store and the "actor" on the video said this poduct will last forever. That is not true, i got about 15 cuts of wood out of this saw and had to use my other battery. luckily i had it charged. the video is very misleading. and the tools are way too big and heavy.

It's a little heavyI got the 20-volt Lithium-Ion Cordless 1/2" Drill/Driver for christmas, and have been using it since, right out of the case with never charging the batteries befor using it . got 2 batteries and only charged one since,,the Litium battery is well worth the weight and gold! The durability as all Craftsman product live up to there name and Reputation

I will start with the cons...none! Someone who said this was heavy has obviously never lifted an 18v Dewalt ni-cad drill. This is a bit lighter & has far more power. The battery power lights are awesone, lets you know exactly how much power you have left. I have owned it for about 2 months & used it for about 10 different projects including 1 that I drove about 30- 3 1/2" decking screws through a 2x4, 1" decking & into a 4x4 pressure treated lumber. On high speed each screw was driven in completely in just over 1 second AND the clutch was set on about 18, not even full power. I had on on the highest setting & it drove it about 1/4" into the wood before i even knew what happened, i had to turn the clutch setting down. With all of this use, I have not even lost a single battery power light yet, I have NOT had to charge the battery ONCE in all that use!!! This is the 6th cordless drill I have owned, & by far the best. When compared to other drills of comperable power it is only 1/2 the price & you get 2 batteries, most only come with 1. In this case the old syaing "you get what you pay for" isn't true...you get MORE!!! I reccomend this drill to anyone, I couldn't be happier.
